Wii - no online play yet PC & PS3 - Non-centralized servers and buddy lists. Also, usually the free servers are slow when downloading content. XBOX 360 - Always on, always fast, no hassle. gnutuxgnutux
The PC is the best online service, it has everything the other have and more.
PC of course have an unlimited access to the internet. However, do you have a matchmaking service, CENTRALIZED buddy list? I have yet to find a game that does on the PC. Yes, I hear there are mods and such, but I seriously don't care. gnutuxI don't know about matchmaking, for all I know there are games that have them. But isn't picking servers and games better than match making? I dunno that's just me, maybe it was all the time I spent playing StarCraft. You could get a better idea of who's in the servers and what time of games your going into.

IMO servers are better, you get passwords, you can have certain ping settings to not have laggers, certain skill bars ect...
As for centralized friends list...well I use MSN...and that's my friends list, and when I wanna play a game I ask em...
It can be. I played Starcraft for years now, since when it came out. It's all about preference. I prefer how XBOX Live works, you like how the PCs work. However, when being online, I would like to have a CENTRALIZED buddy list so I can message friends and find them without going all over the place to just find them. Also, it's all about how you use different services, for me, XBOX Live is for chatting, downloading content and gaming. XBOX Live works like my Skype. gnutuxWell I just press alt+tab and open up a voice conversation in MSN to chat while playing. And I don't even have to talk about downloading content on the PC. If you like XBL that's fine, I like it too.
