which version of the elder scrolls IV: oblivion is the best?

PS3: Slightly better graphics than the 360, includes Knights of the Nine expansion.

Xbox 360: A lot of downloadable content, great graphics.

PC: Able to download many mods that improve gameplay and graphics, also includes an editor to make mods.

So which version do u think is the best?

Which version is graphically better?  PC

Which version is less expensive? PC

Which version has free mods? PC

Which version allows you to make your own content? PC

Which version has all the expansions? PC

I guess the best version is the PC version.

PC. The PC version has the best of everything in Oblivion. Graphics, Gameplay, The Editor, the Modability, the mods themselves & is also the cheapest version of the three. So i guess the PC version is the best, and the PC is more suited for first person games, such as Oblivion (I am aware of the ability to toggle Third Person).

Ha! I laugh at this. Mods+Oblivion for computer= Best game graphically ever made. If you have a really good computer, the PC wins hands-down, followed by the 360.

Have you seen Oblivion with the gfx mod.....the reviews don't show that, including the 360's graphical upgrade. The PC and Xbox 360 have all the dlc now. The PS3 has only the Knights of the Nine. The PC gets mods. Bethesda doesn't know which content will get to PS3, only SI they know will come, and they don't know when. So PC>360>PS3 version.

The IGN review already factored in the gfx mod. It still doesn't match up with the PS3 version.

It states that the Ps3 version is one up on the 360 version (but again was this not before the upgrade?) but behind the PC. I am not a man for mods and think its unfair for PC users to use it against Consolers to justify they have the best version. But with a 8800gtx at 16AA and 16AF with a 10000rpm Hard drive and framerates over 60fps the ps3 is left smoking the dust regardless of mods. The comparison is a no brainer.

I chose the PS3 because i know Oblivion on MY PC won't even come close to running better than it. Hopefully Bethesda will "figure out"(is it really that hard? Hell even Genji has downloadable content and it sucks) the PSN so we can get some more content..including Shivering Isle.

To much obsession with downloadeable content at the moment. Its ok for patches but nothing major. I want a hard copy and i happy you can do this with a PC.  I would hate to download it.

I'm sorry if that was unclear. The 360 update is still not on par with the PS3. I don't think there's a question that in terms of downloadable content and or graphics potential, the PC is the way to go. (based on how powerful your PC is of course)

ps3 version imo. i hate microtransactions so i'm glad knights of the nine are included, and i really don't care for mods seeing as how the game itself is fun enough as it is for me.

Please explain in detail why you believe the PS3 is the best when the PC version has the best graphics, better sound from EAX, more content from mods, and almost better in every single area.

as i stated imo, i like better ok? its not a myopinion=youropinion, the game looks good enough for me on a 52'' lcd at 720p. i like the controls for the ps3(i hate keyboard and mouse for those types of games), and i hate microtransactions (don't want to buy extra stuff for a price that doesn't add to value) and as i said i don't care for mods. i'm the playing the game for what it is then moving on to another game.

So the only reasons is that its your opinion, and you really have no tangible reasons to back up your opinion. (especially since you can use any gamepad on the PC). I won't argue or try to disprove an opinion, but I find it funny how you have no reasons.

You do know that there are mods out there that make the game look MUCH better right? PC's can have higher resolutions and higher AA/AF settings. PC wins.

Yes it was clear. Sorry. But what annoys me about the PC users is there justification of mods to show they have the better version. I am sorry but lets tick to the actual game on purchase instead of picking mods out that reduce your fps. My last PC was crippled on the landscape mods. And as much as they look nicer it is rather superficial. I am all for mods especially things like levelling and interface but the actual ingame graphics add nothing to the game, infact it adds more pressure to your pc. So if your running it like me at 45-90 fps, get ready with another huge hit to the system with mods.

Whoever doesnt put PC is just plain stupid. PC version looks better, plays better, has mods, and all that jazz. So PC no contest. There really isnt a even a point to this thread. Everyone knows the PC version put every other version to shame.

I think the correct answer is, "Who give a rats @#$?!?!?"

The game is the same on all 3 platforms. The differences are so minuet it's not even worth discussing.

I see your point, but I would really hate to play these types of games on a keyboard..."where is my wepeons button!!" "how will I kill the crab!!"....."cant find my magic!!"...HELP!!!! In other words...If PC was easier like a controller...I would play PC games more. But this has been discussed so many times it makes me sick...:?

I see your point, but I would really hate to play these types of games on a keyboard..."where is my wepeons button!!" "how will I kill the crab!!"....."cant find my magic!!"...HELP!!!! In other words...If PC was easier like a controller...I would play PC games more. But this has been discussed so many times it makes me sick...:? TrustCo1971

*buys Xbox 360 wired controller*

*plugs Xbox 360 wired controller into computer*

*plays Oblivion*

You can get gamepads for PC as well. Yet another advantage.

Which version is graphically better? PC

Which version is less expensive? PC

Which version has free mods? PC

Which version allows you to make your own content? PC

Which version has all the expansions? PC

I guess the best version is the PC version.

Mocking your own intelligence?? Admitting that K&M is too difficult for you? You will find most gamers on PC find it so much easier with things like quick keys at the click of a button. Why is it i have to push down the controller on Rainbow vegas to zoom in? Is that practical in movement?? Nope! I was amazed in that game that every function of the joypad did something. What is more annoying is that my 2 hands are occupied but holding the damn thing, leaving little scope for versatility. On a keyboard you can quick key anything with 1 of my 5 digits aswell as a mouse that even has side buttons now. I commend those that have so many function on a pad but at times it proves to be superfluous. Its just not practical aswell as unnatual fishbowl movement. But hey if you can't use a keyboard without a sore head then so be it.

the visuals arent that big of a leap over the 360 version to warrant that much of a good reason to say the ps3 version is better but the extra content the 360 version offers is big enough to say its better!!!!!

but pc version trumps both but i'd rather play with a controller any day even though ive had the pc version.

FIXED

Umm...no. PC has mods that make it look better than the PS3. They did a feature on them a while back.
