PC vs Consoles-Game library this generation

What do you think has the better game library this generation? PC or consoles? I am not talking about scores just about your personal opinion. What games make you think so?

That's a tough one, and to be honest, I don't think i'd be able to decide between them.

3 vs 1? lol, love these threads, well ok, imo PC still wins 3v1. I own all and still play PC the most. Currently playing Civ 5, better than any console release this gen imo.

3v1 I'd still choose PC.

I mean I've put hundreds of hours into the consoles this gen (except the PS3 because I really did not like any of the games I've played for it so far), and I'd still say my PC has gotten around 95% of my total play time this gen :P

You're right. I wouldn't waste money, and haven't. I just mooch off friends if a game happens to peak my interest such as Super Smash Bros Brawl as I had played Melee for if not over one thousand, maybe over multiple thousands of hours with friends.

Easily the PC. Just from the Steam Christmas and summer sales I have more games than I can play and finish.

Thanks for clarifying you have no idea what you're talking about. PC is an open platform, the fact that you can have custom hardware is encompassed under an "open platform". It's still 3 platforms versus 1, and the PC still wins.

you have a custom machine not custom hardware. You dont change the hardware you buy unless you add like a after market cooler on. We are comparing category not platforms . its not pc vs 360 vs ps3 vs wii its pc vs console .

I am a PC gamer but I chose console. I would say PC if it were 5 years ago.

I voted pc, starcraft 2, wow, Guild Wars, CIV 5, STALKER, Amnesia Dark Descent, and the pc version of certain mulitplat games that I wouldnt ever play on current consoles are all Ive really played lately.

Consoles, hands done. Not only because it can play all the best PC games, but it also plays all the console exclusive stuff that will never be on the PC. There are to many games to name. You can start by listing the PS3 exclusives and that alone would be enough.

Well, that's nice. Gamers have put in over 100 yrs of hours playing Halo: Reach online alone in just one week. I think that beats your gaming time by a long shot. At least 90% of my gaming time is spent playing PS3 and XBox 360. 5% playing handhelds and the other 5% playing this online PC game http://www.tribalwars.net and Starcraft 2.

Why are you talking this year if we're talking library? You also said nothing about this year in your post :?

This year the PC had Civ 5 and Starcraft 2 as AAAE's. Your point was you can play all the best PC games on 360. That simply is not right.

If we're talking about over all then consoles (theres like 20 titles i've enjoyed easily), but PC has my fav game this gen and thats SC2.

Personally i'm a big PC gamer myself and i own 360 and ps3.

This generation there has been a lack of PC exclusives BUTthe exclusives that do come out on PC DESTROY consoles.

For examplestarcraft 2, crysis 1, world of warcraft, half life 2, counter strike etc

none of those games can be done on a console to the potential it has on the PC.

Do you think if they made WoW on thexbox 360it would gain 13 million suscribers?

or do you think theps3 can handle crysis at 1920x1080 resolutions with all textures set at very high?

In terms of sheer number it would have to be consoles I'd say, but unfairly considering the number of crapware for Wii in between amazing Mario and Zelda releases.

Quality wise I say they both have Half-Life, they both have Call of DUty 4. Exclusives like God of War, Halo and Super Mario are definitely against PC's, but people who enjoy RTS and MMO games still have Starcraft, Civilization and WoW.

Easily PC and it seems most people agree with me.

PC. It has better, more involving, and deeper games.
