Macs have a decent set of casual games. There's Diablo 1/2, Warcraft 3, Starcraft, the Sims, World of Warcraft and a bunch of other games that I can't think of atm. It's a little better on the Mac because it's a more closed system than PCs, making it more console-like in a way. The benefit of that is that games just 'work' and require less tinkering around. There's always bootcamp too I guess if you just have to have Windows games. :)

i didnt want to be differnt when i bought my mac. i wanted to be able to edit all my videos whithout dealing with that crap that you have to buy for PCs when it came free with my mac.Â
I'm a pc gamer and all, and that was an easy question, especially because in terms of gaming performance, you get more for less money on pc, but many games that we enjoy on pc are made on macs...Anyway, now that both can run windows, maybe things will change with time even though I doubt it...
I think the definition of PC is blurred here. PC also encompasses Windows and Linux. I say Linux is technically better if it had more games, as you can seriously optimize the system for your machine. Some Windows games that work on Linux usually have better performance if you optimize your machine well. gnutux

Macs can play all Windows Games, because of Bootcamp. The only problem is that you are going to pay almost twice as much for the same exact hardware that would go in a PC.batistafan99
Well, of course PC wins since Mac's have no DirectX support, but you can use windows on a mac to play games. I would really like to try it on the Mac pro. Two quad core processors running at 3Ghz each! 16GB of RAM! Nvidia quadro FX! That would be totally sweet.
OSX, Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro > anything on Windows.
Autocad and Solidworks > anything on a mac.
Really depends on your application. Games? Yeah, maybe thats a consideration if you're more interested on goofing off than actually getting work done.Â
Meh. I have consoles for gaming. Macs are better than PCs in general, and that's what matters. Windows is about as much fun to use as poking yourself in the eye with a toothpick.
