If we include all of the PC's lineup from last gen (seeing as people say the PS2 is still getting games and all) then PC. Without a @#!@(# doubt.
What is better a nuclear bomb or a ps2?Franko_3did you know that there are components in the ps2 that can be used to make a nuclear bomb?
This is a really unfair comparison.
Most people with gaming PC dont play PS2 so obviuosly PS3 will loose this poll. Make better polls
BTW yes the wrestling games on PS2 were aweosme including "WWe here comes the pain"
I remember playing 4 playes with all my friends on 1 pS2.
There is a massive selection of cheap low spec PC games, they would run on next to nothing considering today's hardware performance and prices; and wouldn't be tied to a piece of hardware that will likely stop production in a couple of years.
PC easily.
This is a really unfair comparison.

How is it unfair? Of course PC gamers would vote for PC, just like PS2/PS3 gamers would vote PS2.
And most people with PS2's don't play on gaming PC's. Faulty logicThis is a really unfair comparison.

PS2 has a more popular line up (PC has a very impressive one, but hardly any popualr titles in comparison, you have to look them up yourself), but my PC has never DRE'd

Very popular indeed, However you'd need to include all of Sims 2's expansion packs to make a slightly relevant comparison to PS2's popular RPG's/Action/Adventure/Fighting/Racing/Platforming games : p

the top sellers of any platform are never hardcore.
The last generation was an extremely strong one for the PC. As much as I love the PS2, the PC was just unbeatable last generation.
This and I just bought a ps2 for the first time yesterday since the price went down... I skipped the ps2 last gen as I was a pc gamer all the way. But Even with all the consoles I own, I am having the most fun right now playing FFX, and God of War .. just picked up Suikoden 3,4,and 5, ff12, gow2, mgs2 and mgs3. Tried playing mgs2 and silent hill 2 on the pc years ago...but the controls on the pc ports sucked bad!!! I am loving ffx and god of war... freakn epic!! I was a ps1 gamer who went strictly pc after.... and my choice still goes for pc... but ps2 is right under that for last gen... Still I can't get over how fun these games are...even if the graphics aren't that great for today. I find if a game sucks you enough you forget about the graphics and its definatly true with these ps2 games! Man i feel like i am 9 years late to the party...oh yeah i guess I am...lol...The last generation was an extremely strong one for the PC. Look at the price of the PS2 ;)markop2003
Cost is variable on PC, it depends on what you want.
If you want a brand new PS2 you are looking around £85, cheaper if you are willing to go second hand.
If a PC, well, it's not as straight forward.
When pricing up PC's console users tend to expect the whole thing, OS and all. One of the main advantages of PC gaming is the ability to upgrade but people seem quick to try and deny PC gaming this option. It's safe to say the vast majority of people have a desktop PC, even the exclusive console gamers will have one (inc laptop argument).
If you have purchased a PC in the last 3-4 years it would be very cheap to turn it into a alternative to the PS2, just throw in a GF 9500 GT for £45 and you will have no problem playing the complete selection of old PC games from around the PS2 era at above HD resolutions. You will even be able to play some recent games at reduced settings; and as I said earlier your games list won't disappear like with your console.
