Yes, everyone starts in the same places, do the same quests to get the same objects, MMOs shouldn't even have leveling systems IMO, thats why SWG was so great before they ruined it. The skill tree system was brilliant, the weapon and armor crafting system is still unmatched, and you are not forced to do any quests. SWG was the best MMO ever IMO, everything was ahead of its time.

People who suck at WoW, don't get into a good guild, or get too tired of the game before hitting lvl cap (a must if you want the full experience) are usually the ones who talk smack about the game. I have 4 lvl 70s (one of them alliance on a different server) a few 60s and was in the 4th best horde guild on Malorne before the guild disbanded months ago (Necrophagist), my Alliance toon has been exalted with all 3 BGs way before BC was even released.

I guess I must suck.

As ret your not wanted in 5 mans,10 mans and 25 mans (theres goes pve conent as ret), yes theres ret paladins in end game guilds but they only need one or two so if your out of luck then it sucks.

As holy your basically a MT healer,as of Sunwell content end game guilds dont even use holy paladins since restro druids,priests and restro shaman heal better over all (if you dont beilieve me go the elitest jerks site), again talking strictly before Wotlk paladins have had two healing spells since beta while other ****s got 2+ healing spells in BC leaving holy paladins in the dust with the most expensive healing spell in the game (all after nerfing our "epic" mana regen).

Prot is prolly the most sought after spec of paladins which is also one of the hardest to gear up for since tankadins cant wear the same gear as prot warriors since prot paladins need int/mana and spell dmg.

As for pvp I dont have a problem with (the joy of playing both factions since pre BC has made me a lot better at pvp)

I can go on about mages but I'll let you all look at the mage forums since listing all their problems would take up to much time.

Why exactly are you complaining about paladins now if you KNOW they're getting better in WOTLK? Seriously, there's no reason to still flame over something like this. They've heard your problems, and are fixing them...

Stuff like this is why I hate the WoW forums, they will trash almost every single little change but fail to acknowledge how much work blizzard does into making these changes.

Thats a key reason why I cant stand WoW atm raising the lvl cap to 80 is gonna bite blizzard in the end, It might not be that bad for current lvl 70s but for new comers or people who like to make alts 1-80 will be a major turn off

They're increasing how fast you level from 1-70. This is after they already increased it a few months ago.

I have yet to come across a game that I can play everyday while COMPLETELY forgetting about ALL other games for 3 years.

I've played halo 3 for three months since it's release I've put down the game now.

I'm sorry but thats a weak excuse, Everquest was the first real popular MMO ( You could argue Ultima Online ... but not quite so much ) , it should easily have had a higher following.

Everqest 2 had better graphics, and some nice ideas, but it lacked polisj ( back from my first month experiance.. I know... first month bad ect ect ) ... like most realistic looking MMO's ... it felt horrible.

And well, if it was as good as WoW, why dont any of the proffesional reviewers see this? I'm sorry but I think its beyond coicidence that WoW got the highest critical acclaim my a large margin even though its dubbed "an EQ clone" just because it had "Warcraft" in the name ... an RTS series.

ITs more of a case that it took EQ and EVOLVED at lot of it, wether that was making it quicker and easier possible, either way, its well refined and polished and it shows.

WoW was very stable (compared to other MMOs) on release. The problems were that PvP was pracitcally absent from the game. For example, when WoW was first released, Eurogamer gave it an 8/10. They then went back like a year or two later, and re-reviewed the game, giving it a 10/10.

I liked Everquest a lot more than WoW tbh, and all the people i know that played EQ say the same thing. WoW is basically a casualised EQ and with a much younger community.Tykain

These veteran MMO'ers crack me up, " I played for 6 years and didn't get to max level, that's deep mann, that's hardcore" give me a break, wow is already hardcore enough if you want high end gameplay. The game is VERY deep, your never finished, theirs always something to do, someone to kill. What this is about is polish, and design, and balance, criativity everything else, and WoW is incredible in practically all those aspects. Blizzard dev's are incredibly intelligent.

Right but this is about quality gaming I think, not what's right or wrong, we would all like it to be free, but as an ex WoW player I think the money is fully justified, and you do notice where it goes, you really never feel milked, I'd have no problem saying so, I don't even play anymore.
