Regarding the NEW DMC reboot, this is just the usual responses we all give when change is made, we hate ..rage say how stupid it looks, then onces its out and once we see that the new changes were needed and how the overall combat system actual feels good..we accept it and start to like it. People are just primitive and that's normal.(think Nintendo Wii) (MGS2 Raiden who turned into a bad ass)
Only difference i see in this dante and the old is the appearance, he will most likely be just as bad arse in character. Looks isn't everything, unless you swing that way. YEEESH!
I'm just going to laugh when people start enjoying the game. I'm pretter sure the combat will be solid and thats what counts.
Honestly hoping they really improve gameplay, the last game was just a reskinned DMC...change is needed, IMO.

actually the last game improved on previous DMCs in terms of combat. As dante, quick s tyle switching made the game so much more complex. Being able to switch on the fly between swordmaster, trickster, royal guard etc. as opposed to in the older dmcs having to open up the menu and choose which style to focus on. It allowed way more variety in combo chaining. New weapons and combos were introduced, not to mention an aerial-based fighter (nero).
Just curious, did you even play devil may cry 4?
if anything, seeing as it's a company new to the franchise and they're trying to appeal to a new crowd with the new character design, I would think that they would casualize the combat in order to be accessible by all demographics. I'm sure they're more worried about the game selling than pleasing all the hardcore DMC fans.
