People THINK that ps3 has best graphics

its a matter of time till the ps3 has the best graphics. the 360 reached its limits so we wont expect any more graphics that will blow gears it will just be the same or slightly better. but as i heard the ps3 is using 20% of its power so i'd be expecting more in 2008. in the end its still the first year for the ps3arabi_89

I'm not going to argue over which is more powerful or can produce the best visuals, but you are seriously naive if you think that the 360 has already reached its potential.

Well it surely didnt reach its full potential but its somewhere close to it. Since Gears was out we havent seen games that blow it graphically. If you get what i mean.. surely we will see better looking games later on but imo not by a big difference maybe slightly better.

I believe Epic said they used approximately 30% of the 360s power. As far as nothing has arrived to dethrone Gears, there are a few titles on the horizon that have the potential to. And even if Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Bioshock or another title fail to surpass Gears in visuals, that doesn't neccessarily mean that the 360 is maxed out, just that Epic did a phenomenal job.

So all of my friends who play games but arent really too into it think that the ps3 is way better looking than the 360.  WHenever they find out i have a ps3 there like daaaaanng, but really i know its about the samea s the 360 right now, but all im saying is is that most ppl who are looking to get a new console think this:  PS3 is most expensive, it has best graphics, i wnat that.rooster2991

As for those that think PS3 will get better, well don't hold your breath, PS3 games do not come miles close to 360 LAUNCH titles, like Kameo, and ALL multiplatforms are from better to vastly better on 360

So, happy waiting for PS3 to get better, keep in mind Splinter Cell 5 never got to PS3 and Assaisns Creed and Colin are only shown for 360 FOR A GOOD REASON, PS3 can't handle them at all, and they have to waste months for optimizing

Finally if you think Gears, a 1st gen 360 game maxed it out, you ARE dillusional, 360 will get FAR better for years and years

PS3- Motorstorm (due to advertising on tv and kiosks, not that its the best looking game although somehwat close now)

And that's all that counts. 

I'm starting to think that with all the big supposed to be exclusive games for ps3 that go multiplat ruin the next gen experience for the ps3 gamers.  I believe this is going to change though because when a game comes out for the first time that is just a ps3 exclusive it will look better than the games going multplat even if the game is a GTA or DMC type game and it won't matter if the game has ton of hype behind it like Heavenly Sword it could very well be a game you never even heard about.

This might not be the case with the graphics right now but wait about a year or so and you should start to see the difference.  MGS4 will be the first game to really show this but it has major hype around it but it will have better graphics.

People are saying that the xbox360 isn't maxed out yet so I don't know but if it did max out at gears or close to it people are going to start to take notice.

Problem si that this above analysis is far from the truth, yes some textures in closed spaces are sharper, mainly due to better AF too, but others are half the resolution they had on 360, some towns have flat 2d ground, unlike the fully 3d on 360, and the ...brighter overall image .. he talks about is the one reason i would NEVER EVER buy the PS3 version, i hate washed out colors and shadows, make the whole game look so last gen, and trees blend in the nackground like crap

HDR is also FAR worst on PS3, and there is no AA too, making grass look like garabge

unreal 3 will tell the story so in 6 moths will should know how x360's graphic capabilities are doing, just watch the pc version look way better than either console version
