While the the wii is may be GC1.5 it doesn't call it self that. XBOX360 and ps3. Are both basically improvments on the same formula hence the name while the wii used to called the revoultion.

Oh and as a matter of fact, I have a PS2 and the money waiting in the bank for when good games come out on the PS3, which I doubt will ever happen.

Why theres only like 20 games?! And almost half of them were based off movies. The others are mini-games that last you an hour or two! If you were to stick a 360 or a PS3 with 5+ games into the home of a Wii owner. They'd get angry at you. And when you shut the door they would dance and be freaking gratefull because they can't afford them. Most Parents wont buy sally and tom a 400-600$ gamming console. Over 250$. The Wii is successful for many reasons. It appeals to people for different reasons. Obviously, being cheap is one of them, but theirs a larger reason as to why. The biggest factor would be the Controller combined with positive media buzz.

Parent's dont care. Most parents know what system their children want, and if they want the 360/PS3 they wont GO OUT and buy a Wii anyway just because its cheaper. They would know it would not make the child happy.

The Wii has a large attach rate too.. i have 7 games alone, and many other Wii owners i know have 3 - 5 games..

Gamecube was the cheapest system last gen. Why did it not sell the most?

Price is not the factor. It all depends on variables. Fro example millions of PS2's were sold becuase it was a cheap DVD player at the time. [Thats why the PS2 sold so much]

The reason Wii is selling more than the other systems is becuase alot of nongamer and even casuals and not to mention many hardcores are pulled by the Wii-mote which really changes the gamplay experiance.

A 300 dollar DVD player is cheap? I could've got a better and cheaper DVD player for 100 bucks back then.

And the Wii is not that cheap...it's 50 bucks cheaper than the PS2 when it was released.

How am I trying to flame the Wii? I posted games that intrest me at all for those certain systems. Its clear why The PS3 and Xbox 360 lists are bigger. I enjoy shooting games or great online games. Then once in a while, a RPG will do the trick. Theres not much you can do about not enjoying many games on the Wii. If they actually released more then just arcade games, I would have a much bigger list.

I cannot afford the PS3 or the 360 (yet), but I am fully aware of their amazing power.

But you fail to mention Mario Party 8, Trauma Center, Excite Truck, Project Hammer, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Nights, No More Heroes, Red Steel, Super Paper Mario... You fail.

Both of you forgot Battalion Wars 2, Brothers in Arms: Double Time, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronciles, Ghost Squad, Mario Strikers, Saddness, Soulcalibur: Legends, Scarface, Smackdown vs. Raw.

And the Wii is there only system. Does that mean that they're too poor to buy any other system, so they haven't seen the amazing power of the PS3 or Xbox 360? Is this fight really against the poor and the rich? Because I'm confused! The Xbox 360 and PS3 both are extreamly powerfull. Where the Wii is Gamecube 1.5. Could someone please tell me whats going on?!!

Why is the Wii getting so much aclaim? Is it just the Price? I mean shesh.

Mine was an old Sega game called Xezon on a "tape deck" with a Tandy Color Computer 1....People get mad by loading time now. I use to load that game go make a sandwich and then come back and it would still not be loaded
