Persona 4 Golden has sold 500k copies on PC

With so many copies sold in such a short amount of time perhaps this will motivate Atlus to port Persona 5 Royal to PC.

That custom art is dope. Atlus deserve the sales... The games aren't for everyone, and even I get bored sometimes, but they are solid. Future Persona's on PC would be golden.

I cant get into anime crap, because it all has the same artstyle, atleast american and european cartoons had different artstyles.

It sold at least a million copies on the Vita back in the day. Pretty good for a niche system.

It took 1.5 years before Golden sold 700K on the Vita. This is just 4 weeks.

The $20 price certainly helps. I hope if Atlus ever does port a late port it will not be priced full $60 like switch ver of Catherine full body.

There has to be something at play. Maybe some kind of deal with Sony? Sega can't be so incompetent not to release those games on Switch which is the most popular console in Japan, the biggest or 2nd biggest market for JRPG's.

@Juub1990: Probably. There was never a clear reason why Persona 5(mainline) is not outside the PS platform. If it was really exclusive, I mean the IP, we probably wouldn't see even spinoffs outside the PS brand. IIRC too, the reason why Atlus stayed with Sony is because the PS3/PS4 is more popular in Japan and they didn't wanna split focus onto different platforms, especially since their target is mainly the Japanese market.

They kinda do? Many modern western cartoons have that simplistic eyeball shapes, spaghetti limbs/simpler curves and simpler backgrounds... BUT!

West seems to have way more variation from all time.

southpark cartoons

a lot seem to have more EASY distinctions from each other imo.

I prefer anime though because of its range in weirdness to mature and anything in between and you eventually could tell which was what from what era and studio.

We mostly now have that moe face. Simple mouth nose style.

One of the best games of all time for me, love it. But the port needs a patch already. I have a gaming PC and I have to tone down the graphics to 30fps and 1680p or it crashes all the time. It's ridiculous for a PS Vita game.

I'd still recommend it though. Pity Chaz aint here to see it. I hope they port number 3 over next.

@DocSanchez: Probably Denuvo. There's a Denuvoless exe floating around somewhere, and it should work on your steam version. I'm not using it cos the game perfectly plays fine on my rig.

Yeah I've looked into several things it could be and that's come up a lot. I've got it working now but it's really ridiculous. I'm glad it's on PC but it was so bad at first I was thinking of digging out the PS Vita to play it again.

Was kinda expecting this TBH, once look at the Steam store shows pc gamers enjoy their weeb games.

lol most of the comments are arguments about Eastern art styles vs Western art styles. Western art styles have more variation but anime/manga art styles still come in several variations that are distinct from one another.

I wasnt having a go, I know I can be prickly but I wasnt in this case. It may very well be my PC somehow but its an issue a few are having.

Japanese animation has at least as much art-style variation as (if not more than) Western animation. You'd realize this if you step away from teenage/adult oriented anime (the ones more popular in the West) and check out children's anime (also known as "kodomo" anime), which are more popular in Japan and have a huge diverse variety of art styles. Just off the top of my head, some of the popular children's anime that come to mind:

• Speed Racer
• Kimba the White Lion
• Anpanman
• Crayon Shin-chan
• Hello Kitty
• Dog of Flanders
• Mazinger Z
• Casshan
• Nausicaa
• Laputa: Castle in the Sky
• Spirited Away
• Princess Kaguya

These children's anime have at least as much art style variety as the Western children's cartoons you've just listed above. The key factor here is not geographic origin, but the target age demographic. Anime/Cartoons aimed towards children are the ones which tend to have the most diverse variety of art styles. Whereas anime/cartoons aimed towards older audiences (teens and adults) tend to have more "familiar" art styles which don't stray too far from audience expectations.

I definitely had issues initially. Upon the first couple of boots I couldn't select a 4K resolution, and I think the highest was 1600x900 or some nonsense. I eventually got it working at 4K, and it's flawless since. The only fps dip I get is when going into an AOA, and I get a slight dip of 10 fps on a 2080.

What are your specs?

Cant remember off the top of my head. I'll be honest, it's a ps vita game so playing in 1600p right now doesn't really bother me as long as it's stopped crashing 20 minutes into a dungeon. I just think its poor form really. I am hoping they will port P3 and P5 but better next time.

Man, once Persona 5 and HZD land on PC, my ps4 will officially have been a complete waste of money.
