The lack of licensed teams really ruins it for me. I'll still check it out though, looks solid.

I never really cared that much about licenses in PES, but it is annoying when you play with United against "London FC". I actually liked the game more when it had less licensed teams.

Master League is what liked the most about PES. It's still way better career mode than Career Mode in FIFA.

Woot! I'm so excited to play a match of London F.C. against Man Blue! They are my favourite teams EVA

I remember a friend spending hours editing and renaming players and teams in PES. Once he'd finished it he would charge £2 to copy it on to your memory card. Kids all over the school would be bringing in their memory cards for him to copy the data too.

Those who like better gameplay and AI and Strategy will Pick PES

Those who care more about appearences and having the right team names and Kits will Pick FIFA.

Few will pick both, many will pick neither.

Its the best football game I've ever played! too much goodness it's ridiculous.

Remember kids to turn a new feature in gameplan called fluid formation, holy shit was that so thoughtful of them to make a great feature like that.

Plus the players movements are insane, when you take control of Ozil you see every little touch of detail like the hunchy back and animations looking like the real thing, take control of Kroos in the other hand and his lazer computer like long passes are a thing of beauty to perform, when you get the ball to Ronaldo or Messi you can do what they do in real life, in FIFA 15 you can't do that.

Plus look at all the players physique in FIFA 15, I noticed they all look ridiculously and unrealistically jacked up when I played the game, even players like Neymar, Iniesta and Di Maria, they don't look like footballl players.

I mean I searched for more pictures to prove how small/slim players like Ozil, Neymar...etc look like that but damn, Messi does not look like that at all in real life in body size.

Utterly disagree !

You knida said it reversely....man FIFA is all about gameplay and AI and strategy , all about tactics , in PES you just need some Messi or Ronaldo to get through all the defenders by pressing a button !

Btw, glad to see PES has returned to the pitch! i'll stick to FIFA tho ..

From what I've tried it feels like you just have more control over the players. Fifa has that Nba2k feeling of playing itself sometimes.

Konami needs to do a Hockey game.......or is the EA NHL game decent?

My issue with sports games as of late is the animation. Sure it looks great, but imo nba2k loses that "game" feeling--it feels more like a passing simulator to me.

...sorry that had nothing to do with what you said.

Strategy and tactics? you mean the team's tactics or players? because if you are talking team strategy and tactics then PES got that over FIFA like ever, when you want to go deep in the gameplan you can't ever compete with PES on that department.

Gameplay on the other hand FIFA got it last gen over PES according to critics, it got way much better than it used to I admit that however I don't like the FIFA play style to this day though and it's more of a subjective factor.

You are right and wrong, yes you need Messi or Ronaldo to get through "defenders" ( not all defenders as you put it ) and I am pretty sure you can't do that by pressing just one button, thats a lie, but you could pass defenders with superstars like Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo, Ibrahomvic, Bale, Robben...etc in PES. Still you could make these superstars useless if you knew how to defend them.

My question is do you like controlling Messi or Ronaldo or any superstar and still could not replicate what they do in real life? thats how FIFA always butchered and gimped superstars in their games to make FIFA more "balanced".

Well **** off then EA because if they watch these superstars in real life these players make the game unbalanced as ****.

Hopefully this isn't just a "lucky shot" and they can keep compete with Fifa during this gen. Ultimately that would mean better football games for the fans.

Also, if they can somehow force EA to stop holding the monopoly regarding the license issue, that would be great.

EA is terrible by doing this shitty practice, they do it with everything, they did that with NFL, Racing games and football, they won't stop until the owners of those license stop being stupid fucks, I mean Gran Turismo not having Porsche is ridiculous.

I mean if you see the presentation of Uefa Champions League in PES is amazing, I'd like to see how they represent the English Premier League.

I think licenses should not be a hinderance for games, I think these companies and organizations should put an open license for all developers to buy so the real difference for games becomes gameplay, mechanics, presentation...etc instead of hey look at this game it doesn't have this license so it must suck.

Or how about Konami gives EA the UCL and EA gives Konami the EPL ( never gonna happen ) because thats the only major shit thats missing from PES these days.

That's pretty cool, someone was selling that stuff on ebay. I got a fully licensed Pro Evo 5 on the Original Xbox.

I didn't like NHL 07, twas the 1st and last time I played an NHL game and as for NBA.... The real life sport does nothing for me and the video game is no different, its got something to do with how easy it is to score so much that it happens all the time... Basicly what I'm saying is it lacks the one Goal Drama of Football (soccer).

In FIFA 13, for no reason at all my full backs move towards the edges of the pitch regardless of where my opponents are coming from.when the AI does stupid shit like this the strategy goes right with it. FIFA is just too flawed in all these tiny areas.

Hahah, well it's fitting you don't like basketball, because NBA2k is pages upon pages of stats. Your favorite.

That's barely an improvement. 5 seconds of action then 50 bud Light commercials.

I was impressed by the PES 15 demo but I'll probably end up getting Fifa later on down the road when it's cheap.

I'm really glad to see them getting better. EA needs some real competition with FIFA to keep them on their toes and keep better. I bought FIFA14 and had no plans to get another soccer game this year as i don't buy sports games yearly.

I am happy that possibly the next time I do decide to get one, there will be real decisions to be made on which one to buy.

I wish Madden had competition like that.

Well, so is FIFA, and yeah it bothers me there too, but not as much because there not being used as Psychological Manipulators. Like they would be in RPGs.

It's been better than Fifa for years when it comes to single player. I've only ever played the PC version with PES edit and mods though.

Is it? Wasn't aware (seriously, not being snarky). Too bad.
