Take-Two reportedly sent private investigators to modder's home

https://www.change.org/p/vote-for-the-authorization-of-the-multiplayer-mod-gta-mp-for-gta-v

They have the 4th best-selling game in gaming's history, and rather than rewarding players for creating content to keep the game fresh they chastise them... all because the mod makes them get less money from the online cash shop. What do they think they're gonna lose by letting a modder mod? You can get sued for modding in 2015? Glad we didn't had that many years ago, otherwise we would not have what gaming is today. I don´t get why you could be sued, i mean you bought the game and you are not harming anyone, instead you are generating them new customers through this. You need to have GTA 5 to play it, not like in SA:MP. The days of devs and gamers being close and focused on fun are long gone, now it's the age of marketing. Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick defended Evolve's DLC plans. Rockshit ruined Max Payne for me. Next target is Mafia, mark my words. GTA V is a really fun game. But this is just a scummy move, no matter the company that does it. Maker of gangster game uses gangster tactics. Ironic.

This is unacceptable. A video game entertainment company should not be sending goons to harass people who legitimately purchased their products. I regret my purchase of GTAV more and more each day. I will not be purchasing future GTA games. We're not going to fix our game where we can't even get players to try out the new game modes, but we will send people to modders who try to fix the awful online system because no one else can do our job for us.

Hang on a minute, isn't the reason for not allowing mods in MP is to avoid unfairness, it is a competition between players after all.

The MP mode in GTA is cooperative fun, sometime trolling. But it is by no means MLG level competitive game. Take Two can keep their shitty MP.

In gaming's short history petitions seem a lot more succesful than 'voting with your wallet'.
