*Sales numbers for the next few weeks come in*
Woahh the PS3 sales skyrocketed, it's now outselling the Wii and 360 combined. I wonder what caused the sudden demand?
[QUOTE="Hadoken_Kid"]so its confirmed you can watch porn in home. i bet he put a smile on all the child predator's faces with that quote.Krigon
So everyone that watches porn is a "child predator"?
I was thinking the same thing:?
I see no connection between child molesters and porn.
As long as it's in your own private apartment, Sony won't do anything against that. Kinda like the government and the stuff we do inside our house.Mizuke
The problem is when you invite someone to watch porn in real life you know how old they are. What if you invited some friends on home to watch some porn and they are underage. That would definatly be against the law and probably a serious crime. Now no one in their right mind would do this on purpose but online you have no way of knowing how old people are so there would always be a chance that the people you met were saying they were older than they really are.
:lol:ditto, someone's gonna get sued...
It is a fine idea but I do not see this whole thing turning out pretty... :?

this is why ninty shelters their gamers with no interaction in online games.

Simple, User agreement. Porn sites use this for decades to free them from legal charges.
Mark this option if you're over the legal age of responsibilty in your country and isn't bothered by adult material.
[] Enable adult content..
Voila. They can even use the built-in parental controls in the ps3 to dinamicaly allow or cblock adult content for different accounts in the same console.

I guess i should turn myself in to the cops, and maybe point out a few of my friends as child molestors aswell. :P

Ok that's one legal issue out of the way but is it even legal to share movies with people via the internet. Are they going to view this as similar to showing movies to people in your own home and are all movie companies going to view it that way? Will you be allowed to show full movies by law or just small clips like utube (even though many ignore it)

Maybe your country's law is different, but in US and my country you can show the movie to your friends, even streaming it online.
As long as you're not cracking or bypassing any DRM to do so, you're safe. And if you're friends don't record the stream the movie and keep a copy for them there are safe too. Perfectly legal.
Acrtually, you can even break DRM to do that, as it's only illegal to bypass or crack DRM only with the intent of make an unrightful copy of the content.
PS; But i'm not a lawyer and this is not legal advice ok. :)

Yes it is, but if anyone found out, your parents would probably get any charges dumped on them, since they're the ones allowing an underage person to access it.[QUOTE="Haseokicksass"][QUOTE="Idonomeus"][QUOTE="Mizuke"]As long as it's in your own private apartment, Sony won't do anything against that. Probably for you but the site itself is protected as the other person pointed out. I was just wondering how this would work in the case of individuals showing movies on PShome.
There isn't really a way to stop someone from showing porn to others in their own apartment if they can stream whatever they want to their TVs[QUOTE="nyoroism"][QUOTE="Haseokicksass"][QUOTE="Idonomeus"][QUOTE="Mizuke"]As long as it's in your own private apartment, Sony won't do anything against that. If you're on a wireless router, you are. People (meaning your ISP) have access to what sites you're going to, and they can actually report you if you're looking up things like child pornography. But if you're on a wireless router, anyone in the near area can access your Wi-Fi, so they can't tell who actually did it.

the law is you can share anything that you own, you just cant sell it thats why limewire etc are still alowed to operate.-Daddy-
You have a SERIOUS misunderstanding of how copyright law works ;)
Limewire is only allowed to continue operating because they technically don't even host the music files - their users upload them to EACH OTHER, and THEY are the ones breaking the law. The Limewire servers are just a means to index these files and make finding users with any given piece of music easy.
I think there should be two boxes. One that you can check that you're over 18 and consent to objectional material. And the other is for you to check if you have said material in your private apartment so that it prompts a warning box (if the consent box is checked) to guests... otherwise, access won't be allowed. Kind of clanky, but it works. Sony won't be to blame for anything.
Wonder if Jack T has something to say about this.Kekira
he told me his fine...it put a smile on his face:D
