Picture yourself without owning any console, what would attract you more?

What would attract you more? The PS3 or the XBOX 360? Move or Kinect? Blu-Ray or HD? 3D or 2D? If you didn't have either console and were looking to buy one right now at the current stage of the cosole generation, which one would you go for?

PS3 simply because of the blu ray and great exclusives.

I voted Wii. But I also would want a PS3.

I like Nintendo's IPs and I can't go a whole gen without playing new Nintendo games.

+1. I was eager to see this neck to neck race

So, at a general glance, PS3 is more attractive and while they are almost at the same prices how is even if by a little bit, the XBOX out selling the PS3 (except for the past few months). Are the consumers misguided or what is it?

The Wii.

Then the PS3.

Considering I don't own any consoles I would choose the system with better RPGs. So the PS3 if it wasn't so expensive.

If it's just for the games, then the DS. But if it has to be from that list, then the PC since it has games plus everything else.

360. Cheaper to own and better looking multiplats. Hopefully I would have tested each controller out on a kiosk, and came to the conclusion that the 360 controller was better.

well i wouldnt know how bad the ps3 exclusive were on replay value since gamespot doesnt count that against ps3 games so i might be tricked into saying the ps3.

but since i know, i would bepick 360 easybecause of halo reach.

PS3. I like the exclusives more. I like the ds3 more then the other controllers. Its free online. The multiplat difference isint as night and day as some would like you to think. Though there are some clear examples of night and day ala bayonetta.

A PC is the superior choice to any human with a brain. You don't just get to play games on a PC, it can do everything else as well. PC also has a bunch of free games and if you decide to buy a game its normally $10-20 cheaper then any console game, also the add-ons are free unlike the $15 map packs on the ps3 and xbox 360 for most games. You can't forget the dedicated servers FOR FREE as well, normally a group will buy a server and then just ask for donations or get advertisers so we don't have to pay monthly for dedicated servers like xbox or get some stupid laggy host **** like ps3 (this is only some games, but most games have dedicated servers). Another thing with PC is that games have a far better community than the 10 year old dickheads on ps3 and xbox 360 who run around **** everything that moves. A PC can watch real 1080p not some upscaled bull**** like on xbox. Well, anyways my second choice is the xbox package because PS3 doesn't have **** on the upcoming xbox games and kinect. PS3 move is just some wii rip off while kinect is like the eye-toy perfected and upgraded, which is a good thing. Halo:Reach and Gears of War 3 are enough reason to own an xbox.

I actually did this before I bought my PS3. I narrowed it between the 360 and the PS3 and I'm glad I went with the PS3

well, i cant really put myself in a position where i say i just dont own any of the consoles, i can imagine what i would do if all of my consoles and my pc got stolen though, id be very upset first of all, but assuming i got some sort of insurance id build a new pc, as thats where im doing a lot of my gaming at the moment

I chose to purchase a PS3 over three years ago when it basically had nothing going for it. I don't see my self making a different decision now that the PS3 seems to have everything going its way.

I have a question. You buy games on the XBOX360 just to look at how much better the game looks than the PS3 version. How much different is it really? or to actually enjoy them. TBH if someone was playing, say, CoD, and I couldn't see the console or the controller, there's no way I could tell the difference between the two unless the buttons on-screen show up.

360 because all my friends have it and are die hard PS3 haters.

PS3 most likely. The current and future game lineup interests me more, and it's a Bluray player.

So this is a "picture the last 4 years didn't happen" thread? I would still take the Xbox first because of its back catalogue of games which are now cheaper, all those years of being more consistent count for something in the real world.

I don't know why you added PC though because if I owned nothing at all at this point in time I would get a decent PC asap, PC > consoles.
