Personally I'm more hyped for Planetside 2. The PC version scored 8.5 here on GS and 9.0 on IGN + it's got a lot better with updates and us cows will be playing the latest version when PS4 launches. It will also be a new and fresh experiance for us consolites who haven't had a battlefield this big before.

That sounds much better than Killer Instinct which comes from a shovelware dev who's average on Metacritic is probably below 40%.

PS2 is a good game. Killer Instinct looks like a garbage game. I can tell you just from that that Planetside will make for a better F2P game. S**t games make for bad games no matter what genre they are or what pay structure is attached to them.

Killer Instinct you get one character for free while in PS2 I hear all you pay for is aesthetics so even KI is the best fighter ever made as a f2p game it fails

The rumor is they are releasing seasons where you buy everything all at once or you pick and choose what you want. Instead of releasing sequels and DLC fighters like Capcom, Arc Systems, and Netherrealm where you get screwed. The first season will have 10-12 characters for the rumored $19.99. Each additional supposed to have 4 characters for $9.99. Each fighter has their own story, challenges (Think MK's Tower Mode), training and fighting stage that comes with it. They claim they will keep putting out characters as long as their is demand for it. Also, none of the modes and costumes will be extra. It is all supposed to be free.

isn't that the samething though ? you still have to buy the characters. Even if it is cheap or discounted, it's still a very vague F2P game. It's also a horrible influence to future games making games in to let's say 20 pieces that you have to buy each piece. While this works very well for League of Legends, league of Legends it's still can be completely free for the Full gameplay experience and luxuries cost money for example.

Doublehelixgames.com Someone posted an interview on how they wanted to do the pricing. Plus Max has talked about it in one of his podcast. Double Helix has been revamping their forums or I would of posted the link.

After what Capcom pulled this gen and what Netherrealm is doing with Injustice I would rather have it Killer Instincts way. Injustice has 5 DLC fighters that are $7.99 a piece. Just the fighters. Why even bother buying their shit anymore? Might as well wait for the GOTY edition.

Fair point but as the thread is about the most excited F2P game not exclusive game your doing nothing and bring nothing to this thread but announcing your fanboys yourself. Also isn't the best looking game on the X1 Titanfall and that's not exclusive as its on the PC like Planetside 2 is...so what is you point your trying to get at other then being hypocritical?

Respawn themselves stated that Titanfall will be better on xbox and obviously games like CoD/Titanfall are console shooters. I didn't realise that I had to say that Titanfall is on pc too but yeah of course it is.

We PC gamers already know Planetside 2 is a good game. Anyone who had the original Killer Instinct or at least played it on the COIN OPS already knows that Killer Instinct is shit.

While it's sad that Netherrealm have offered aditional characters at such a ridiculous price, it still isn't as foul an offense as what Capcom did with Street Fighter x Tekken. I'm still appalled at the fact that they sold people (my brother is one of them) a game at full price and actually locked away data that's already on the disc which you can only access by paying them more money. I WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM FOR THAT AND AM BOYCOTTING THEM FOR LIFE.

Killer Instinct. Planetside 2 is cool in all, but the lack of a win/loss aspect of that game makes the actual playing the game feel so pointless. At least Killer Instinct will still have that play to win the game mentality to it. Now if this was Tribes Ascend vs Killer Instinct this be a different conversation. Tribes Ascend was dope. Shame the game's community has shrunk so much.
