There's your 3.
Dang, from the Best Action game to the Worst. Platinum what the heck?
Simple as I said in the Bay 2 thread,; Kevin's 7/10 = Marks 10/10 so if Mark had reviewed this it probably be a 6 or 7. :P
Different people working on the game I guess
Different people or not, this hurts Plats reputation quite a bit.

Nah, Bayonetta 2 and this cancel each other out.
Sexist Spot! Teh Gmrgte!
or Nickelodeon meddling to get a game out as soon as possible to coincide with the new season. Probably had Platinum's B-list team working on it since Bayonetta 2 came out with top scores across the board.
Korra deserves better though.
of course it did. why? because
JRPG trash
Platinum....made a....bad....game?
What....What is life?
I have a bigger penis than you small penis.
You cannot grasp the true form of DSS's penis.

I can't help but feel that this is a little more accurate than it should be.
Probably the same group of people who worked on Madworld (which is a bad game) and Anarchy Reigns (which without its multiplayer is average if we're being nice) made this game. Both of those games were on the simpler, less interesting side of Platinum Games combat (which is what Korra looks like), but were also more repetitive and less inspired in terms of crazy in comparison to the likes of Revengeance (great), Wonderful 101 (really good), Vanquish (good), and Bayonetta (fucking terrific).
It is a shame, because Korra as a IP looked like something that should have worked to Platinum's strengths. Might be the short development time? Game was basically done in a year or something.

Yup. I never expected much from Korra, and i'm still buying, but i can see this game being made by a much smaller team. Plus, no Hideki.
My hype for Scalebound is still in place.
Looks like a rushed timed constrained low budget TV license title. That's too bad. I think that I'll give it a try still.

It actually doesn't. I mean it's a licensed game and download only it's not a HUGE deal or anything.
They have way more awesome games under their belt so this is just one mist step in a very successful catalog of games.
platinum like bungie, only good at one franchise lolololol

Or not...but whatever...facts...
Mad World - 7.5
Anarchy Reigns: 7
Vanquish: 9
Metal Gear Rising: 8
Bayonetta: 9
Bayonetta 2: 10
Wonderful 101: 8

Eh, it's licensed shovelware.
I personally love the game. It feels like a old throwback beat em up Classic. The graphics are simple and the environments could look better but it gets the job done. I haven't watched the show so it might fail to capture the essence of the source material but the animated cutcsences are nice. Overall, I don't think it was intended to replicate the show but to dump the characters in a compertent action game with, what I would say is pretty good combat.
It's a very simple game that at least captures the style of the fighting and reviewers expected way too much from a licened $15 which was probably underfunded by Greedyvision. Even platinum can't make magic under these constraints.
lol @ this gen. The X1 and PS4 are just disappointing.
I remember when I used to be excited about new consoles. Everything about these consoles just feels like a moderate expansion on last gen consoles.
So few games are actually good that we celebrate it when a half decent game comes along, even though we may never play it. This is likely the worst year in gaming I can remember. It's so bad that people actually buy Destiny and Drive Club. In any other year, those games would have faded out of existence by now.
@SecretPolice: That's so wrong.
Kevin personally reads every single review and the whole staff discuss about the score. In other words, Kevin 3 score = GS score and Mark 10 score = GS score.

I dont think its cause everyone agrees on the score. If that were the case reviews would take much much longer cause that means everyone on staff would have to play it fully. I think its more like "hey imma give this game x score" then the staff is like "ok why is that" then explanation is given and then proof read and then review goes up.
Platinum has to be the most inconsistent dev in the industry
Nah, I'm sure there are WAY more inconsistent than Platinum.
@nini200: how is that the fault of the ps4/x1??? Bayonetta to 2 wouldve scored an 11/10 if it was on next gen systems.
