Played KZSF. (Edit: I think it deserves an 8.0 now)

KZSF is good but not great. I just got done playing it. Intro and cut scenes are way too long. Took like 20 minutes before I could even play as an adult (you start off as a kid and intro takes a long time). After 20 minutes of running around as a kid in the game, I finally skipped the rest of the intro and got to start actually playing the game. I was given a knife as the only weapon, and eventually found that robot thing to help me and a gun. By the time I found ammo for the gun, I was like one hour into the game. I stopped playing and will resume later.

As stated earlier, game is good, but not great. Definitely deserves the 7 that Gamespot gave it. Graphics are very good by console standards, but not as good as Metro Last Light on PC (very high settings). I have a feeling that Ryse graphics are going to be MUCH better than KZSF, and even Killer Instinct's graphics are going to be better KZSF.

BTW, couldn't access Playstation store, it seems to be down right now. I wanted to see what other games are available on it.

Edit: It seems that because I had my TV set to 1080i instead of 720p, It was getting shimmering effects and it was affecting the graphics a bit. My TV is native 720p but can handle 1080i. I set the PS4 output to 720p and now the graphics look better. In fact, they look awesome!! I give KZSF an 8.0 now.

Aiming isn't sluggish at all, framerate is very smooth.

and of course the graphics look really, really good.

Framerate is very smooth, yes.

Outdoor graphics, landscape and such, are excellent. Character facial graphics are excellent. The rest of the graphics are very good, but not THAT great. The PS4 is no doubt capable of MUCH better graphics than KZSF has.

I saw this review for Metro Last Light. Obviously not motion captured made the characters look horrible. No mc is the future.

Yeah but you actually have standards. Killzone has been the Playstations "Halo Killer (ROFL)" so expect cows to love Killzone

Of course it is, it's just a launch game.

I still think it's got some stunning graphics, textures are very nice, lighting and shadow also. Level design is pretty well thought out it seems. Overall I see no problems with it.

Im serious. Watched the giant bomb quick look, watched jeff stumble through multiplayer. I dont see anything special about the game.

Yes, the graphics of KZSF were exaggerated, but they are not bad by any means. The graphics are very good.

Jeff's gameplay honestly looked like he had arthritis. The games much more fluid than he made it look.

He's just trying to troll, it's a mems staple.

Doesn't really have to do with how he played, he's terrible at all fps games. The gameplay looks run of the mill. The owl stuff in single player looks cool but the AI looks awful.

I expected to be wowed by KZSF, but I wasn't wowed (other than maybe the outdoor environments). It was more like: Yeah, graphics are good, game is kinda slow, what's with all the mazes and how do I get from one area to another? Still a good game though.

I remember my first time playing the original Bioshock on PC. Now that was a WOW experience!

These forum's really need some kinda level 10 thing,again for real. All these alt accounts are getting ridiculous.

My first impression was the same. Still think KZ2 was the best in the series.

I never played any of the other Killzone games. The futuristic setting in KZSF is cool though.

I'd have to agree, been watching a lot of it on Twitch, looks like a good game, especially MP.

killzone sf better than any xbox one exclusive launch game way better than what these reviews saying between 8.5 to 9 real talk and dem graphics my god LOL and they say ryse best looking launch game LOL STOP IT hell knack way better than it scores

the more footage I see of this game, the more I notice how disappointing it is that reviewers just threw this one under the bus.

The only really awkward gameplay I've seen so far is probably the first 40 minutes with the knife, it really opens up past that point.

I think when reviewers say this isn't next gen visuals, that they aren't comparing directly to the ps3 and instead focusing on games like metro last light on pc. It's not a huge jump compared to PC centric titles but compared to ps3 it just blows it out of the water.

The levels are pretty freaking huge and my god does this game have the most amazing backdrops I've ever seen in any game. Really tempted to just pick up a ps4 sooner than later now, especially with most of the quads bricking because of that battlefield update which will undoubtedly be fixed.

It didn't get rated down because of it's graphics, it was due to the gameplay
