see it shows different view points, I enjoyed the Eternal Sonata demo much more than Blue Dragon.
I like the BD demo more...maybe cuz there's alot more to do ( where'd u hear of a 2 hr demo in only 2 Gbs of memorey...ES has about 500Mb and I beat it in 20 min) but Es has better battles.....I guess fighting a large plant is better than fighting a poo snake :|:?
I dont get the Japanese sometimes...but i somehow love their RPGs...

I'll agree there is more to do in Blue Dragon, but yeah I thought the ES batles where smoooooth. Blue Draon I think the fighting system is nice, just more organized chaos than ES. I did like how you could basically choose when you attack in BD by how much you charged up and so forth.
where did you play eternal sonata?halfnaked
your not suppose to do this, but create a new xbox live account and make it with Japanese zip code, make it silver, then go to marketplace and look for trusty bell demo...
like I said this is against microsoft TOS.
Overall, the demo for Eternal Sonata was OK at best IMO. It is basically your standard JRPG. It's not as graphically impressive as I thought it would be, and looks like it could run on the Wii pretty well, but it is still very pleasant to look at all the same. I think the voice acting is pretty bad, but not horrendous. The music is forgettable at best, and I thought the battle system was just OK.
The demo for Blue Dragon again felt like your standard JRPG. I really dislike the art s-tyle, but I think the graphics are top notch. I absolutely could not stand the voice acting for Shu, the main character, and Marumaro, that little creature, but the other charaters voices were pretty decent. The game seems extremely easy cause I jumped right into it instead of reading how to play since you only have an hour for the demo, and I was able to beat the main bad guy for that part of the demo. I forgot his name, but you fought his 4 henchmen first, and then him. IMO, the battle system really shows its age. I picture some people liking the old timey battle system, and some people wishing there was something more.
Overall, I think Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon will be good games for JRPG lovers, but it won't convert anyone into liking them IMO.peaceful_anger
I'm hoping they leveled you up a little high for Blue Dragon because it was super simple, I think the one thing is it will come down to the story and the demo doesn't show that yet. I do love the turn base games, so these are games I'm looking forward to. It's nice to see some that have had some work put into them. I also disagree on he music on Eternal Sonata. I loved it, it gave it an earthy feel. The graphical ****is a nice change from the 3D everything has went too.
hmm i went to check out the rpg demos up on xbl. but the onei had seen was, blue dragon, overlord and some other one that i cant remember the name. :( but i didtnt see ES :(mazdaspeed-rx8

I think the main problem with the BD demo is what makes ES stand out....In the BD demo in both levels u start off at level 50...and ur pretty much near the end of the game ( I think....isnt the old looking guy near the end of the fortess demo the main bad guy?) compared to ES where it seems like ur either in the second or third level of the agme...
I thought Blue Dragon had that sort of "charm" you don't see in many other JRPGs.
Haven't played Eternal Sonata though. I'll wait 'til it legally comes out for Western countries.

when most of us downloaded it, it was legal(as it was a loophole and not in the ToS yet.). They rewrote the TOS after people found out about this loophole.
