Playstation 2 v.s Playstation 3?

Hello guys,

I am a person that is really in struggles trying to figure out which console to buy between these 2,

The only reason I want them is Gran Turismo 4.

So I need a little help from you guys to help me decide! :D

PS2 is 129 itself, including Gran Turismo it'll be around 170 total.

a PS3 Console + Gran Turismo 4 is somewhere around 680, it's alot more expensive BUT it can play not only GT4 but GT5 in the future!!

I have a budget of $400 now, should I save more for the PS3 bundle or should I just buy a PS2 with that game??

I don't mind buying used consoles if they make deals, which combos do you guys think will work best for me?

I like XBox 360 very much too, but I don't think Forza 2 will satisfy my needs, will GT5 be available on 360?  if it is then I'll just get a 360, if it's not then please help me decide which one to buy!~

all your comments are valuable to me, I read them all and took them into considerations.

I think I would probably go for a ps3 since I would love to play gt5 as well, and it also plays ps2 games.

But... buying an PS3 also means that I would have to kick that beautiful 360 and its games out of my mind since I can only afford to own one of the powerful next gens, and I'll have to stick with it afterwards.

 So...  now the question becomes whether GT4+GT5's value >  Xbox 360's Forza2 and other games.

the question is still tough since it involve personal tastes, but I would still like to know what do you guys prefer between these 2?

For me, I prefer the GT series to Forza series, but both are quite good. I'd still recommend the PS3 over the 360 but that's just my opinion because I think it's the best console with games like GT5, MGSIV, FFXIII, White Knight Story, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank, and Jak and Daxter to be released.

360 would be a good choice too though. If you want to play GT4 you'll have to buy a PS3 for it and the upcoming GTs though.
