Playstation 3 has alot of great games, so what are you waiting for to get it?

Seriously, i've seen alot of people making comments about playstation 3 calling it waitstation 3. It has just the same amount of great games as 360, and it shares many of 360s top games, such as Oblvion, RS6, SC: DA. The only thing Playstation fans are waiting for is a bg exclusive game. Like Lair and NG: S, Both arriving this summer.

 You really can't call the PS3 the wait station when its been delivering the same quality of games in its first year as 360 has been doing in its second. :|

NOT TRUE.  Most of the 360 multiplats are noticebly better.  The PS3 was SUPPOSED to be better.  But its not.  There are no games that separate it (UNTIL THE FUTURE) and it is more expensive.

yah but its just give an take...when it comes to multi-plats. some look better and some don't. The PS3 has the best hardware no doubt about it. And its now turning into the console of choice for development. I mean look at MotorStorm, Formula 1, RS6. These games are just up to par, and surpass most 360 games graphically. And its first year isn't even done yet. When games Like NG: S and Lair come out this SUMMER it won't even be a question, about delivering the same quality.

Thank you for being honest. I am a lemming (I guess), cuz I went from my ps2 to the 360.  BUT, there is no denying the fact that I might end up getting a PS3 when some of their great exclusive come out.

I am sticking with the ps2 because there are a ton of games that I still haven't played that I would like to get to , and I am waiting for about 5 ps3 games that I really want to play to release and a possible price drop. HDTVs should drop a bit too. I waited for the ps2 to mature and I will wait a little while for the ps3 to do the same. It is not like I had to go out and rush to get the nextbox or anything because my system dried up. I had plenty to play this year on the ps2 and I just finished God of War II (goty so far btw).

I'm also waiting, but i haven't seen Fear for it but SC: DA looked alright at the EB games i went to. Its just the games are already there for PS3. There are enough great multi-plats to wet your appetite till games like NG: S and Lair come around this SUMMER. Playstation 3 owners aren't waiting very long for there big exclusives and big multi-plats. Its just ridiculous to call the PS3 the waitstation, when its matching 360 quality year 1.  

 Personally i'm waiting for the Rumble and GOW3. After that, its a must buy.

My 360 does 1080p fine i think :|. I'm playing Gears and it looks great, practically the same as 1080i, or maybe its just 1080i.  I just use the cables that come with the system, but i never had the 1080p option till the fall update.

The only game i mentioned is GOW 3 in that paticular post. And i know its coming out 2008...it might 2009 TBA!
I'm waiting for those great games, btw MGS4 is still 2007. But this Summer- NG: S and Lair and Heavenly Sword. 

MotorStorm graphically and online matches any 360 game, especially in fun factor. The multi-plats are basically the same, give or take Ps3 versions look better sometimes.

yeah man - i own one too and i agree with what most people are saying -- its a waitstation.

i think the only people that are happy with it are people that only own a PS3 or a PS3/Wii and no 360 -- because all multiplats being better on 360, and no other decent games (I hated resistance, motorstorm is a kids racer that gets old fast, etc.).

Sorry champ, but 360 lemming fanboys have quickly forgotten that when 360 launched, just like PS3, some of it's more rushed titles had frame rate problems & did not look as good as they should have & the ones that looked best, from once great developers like Rare, were just less than average games.    

PS3 launching with 2 top tier titles in Motorstorm & Resistance is all I need along with NBA Street & Fight Night.   I'll just wait till june for The Darkness & a couple of others.   Until then I have the aforementioned to play & also GOW2 to finish.  

If you weren't such a fanboy, you would realise that 360 has had it's turn of being the waitbox 360, for a good period after it launched as well.      Please try to deny those facts.

I'll deny them :) 360 launch was far better, and the only 'waiting game' i played was in the spring after the first launch, oh noes -- i had no games for a month. I have a feeling you didn't have a 360 at launch ;)

my ps3 currently collects more dust than anything else in my house.. its probably the only thing nobody has touched in the past 2 months in my house -- and judging by the release charts this is only the beginning of a long and boring wait.

What do you mean theres nothing amazing? Oblivion and RS6 are both amazing games albeit there not exclusive. Do you see my point yet. Ps3>360 hardware and graphics.  600$ is too much for a video game console period, but if your looking for the best hardware with great games and your not afraid of spending a little money. Buying the PS3 isn't a bad investment, considering all that it offers.

not for less...they're definately 54.99 on both consoles. With the same amount of content aswell. How are they paying more money :|?

I finally broke down and bought the PS3 over the weekend.

 I was waiting this long because I didn't want to make the same mistake I did with XB2 and just buy one at launch with no titles to play. heck, the first game I really enjoyed besides Geometry Wars 2 was Gears of War. It took nearly a year for that. 

 Plus you don't have to spend a lot... with the backwards compatibility of the PS3, as well as the memory transfew adapter, you can easily trade in your older system.

So I did. Traded in my PStwo (slim) and the 'fatty' that I had dropped the PS3 price by $130 bones, plus got a 10% discount. I bought the PS3, an extra controller, 2 new games, the memory transfer kit, and one USB recharge cable...all for less than the cost of the PS3 itself.

That is the way to do it. And no fanboy can argue against that purchase..well they can... interjecting opinion as fact seems to be the standard ammunition these days.

400 for 360. 

 The games are the same price. As i've stated before. You're getting a hell of a lot more with PS3. 

I guess your the type of person waiting for a price drop.
