Xbox 360 is more laden with multiplayer games that require users to sit down for long periods of time

Many users do not eat or use the bathroom, due to them not wanting their Rank to be affected because they are in the middle of a match

While on the ps3, playing a Game like Uncharted 3, because of it's great production vaLUE, will make users take a break from the richness of the game (think of eating too much delicious rich brownies, same concept)

Thoughts?

It makes sense. 360 is more popular in America where 90% of people are fat.

There is a correlation between the consoles and health, time to pass on this scientific research.

Ever heard of intermission? You know, the thirty seconds - two minutes that are given to players between matches. And I don't know about most people, but I have a way easier time turning off a multiplayer game than I do a good campaign.

Wow, finally an interesting non-fanboy thread. Well, tbh the reason why so many amercians are fat is because they go to fast food places too much.

more like 5-10% ish.... Im american so i know what im talking about. And seriously, like when I go to Cedar point or go to thee beach, i see so many more muscular young adults than fat people. There's alot of us that have solid muscles. I bet there's many many more strong Americans than fat Americans, dead serious. It's not funny when people call this country fat just because it has the highest obesity rate in the world. But i won't be surprised if America is also one of the healthiest as well because so many of us excercise alot as well.

Probably depends on where you go. It wouldn't surprise me if a specific city/town/something somewhere in Texas had a 90% overweight population.

Is there a link? Because that doesn't make sense when I get outta my house and only see that 5-10% of the people being fat. Especially that I live by Detroit which has the one of the highest if not the highest obesity rate in USA.

I think you have a point with the unwashed masses that play xbox360.
Even Microsoft themselves admitted part of their fanbase consisted of "Sweaty 30 year olds in Metallica T-Shirts".

But don't worry, it's a phase they have to go through. The 12-14 year olds go through this thing called puberty in which they rebel against parents that tell them to bathe, to wash, to get up and do some sports, do homework etc. It's perfectly normal considering the fanbase.

PS3 has Move, Xbox 360 has Kinect - if you were to use both of those devices, you would get a workout with both.

Agreed, as far as fitness goes, 360 is the worst by miles

Has the most RPGs, that take the most game time

And very few 7 hour games like Uncharted

Yeah that was a weak argument. I wanted to give examples of being around in large crowds and not seeing many fat people. Lol.

Just spitting out numbers off the top of your head? About one-third of U.S. adults (33.8%) are obese. Approximately 17% (or 12.5 million) of children and adolescents aged 2-19 years are obese. http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/trends.html
