PlayStation 3 versus Xbox 360 - End all Arguments - Please Help

Can somebody that knows allot about the technical specifications of video games consoles, electronics, hardware and software please help me analyze this article: PS3 vs. Xbox 360

Separate the truth from the lies and explain what each numbers mean and which numbers are important to making great video games. Also please provide your source where you got your information from. Like a website, book, own knowledge.

The 360 is better.It's got 50% more games (400 v 600).

It has 13 AAA titles, Xbox live, a lower price, and just better games over all.

Don't forget it has a year lead on the ps3 as well. The 8.6gb have got to hold back the console eventually and the not being able to cache to a hard drive since the core is without a hdd. And no one pull out this oh well crysis can fit on one dvd so any game can fit on a single dual dvd well crysis is compressed tardies. Games on a console cannot be compressed too much since it must be accessed on the fly, and the console can't perform complex decompression on the fly since it takes to many cpu cycles.

The xbox 360 is like the cheap cheese you find in a grocery store sure it costs a bit less and tastes the same but the processing/packaging is cheap and it won't last as long.

Yeah but are you gonna go and buy a game that came out in '96!i hope not. with hassles i mean upgrading it which costs alot, defragging, installing games which then wont work etc.

everyone seems to be telling me about the huge collection of pc games, and i'll admit that maybe i was wrong about this, but there are lots of xbox exclusive games which rock like halo.fraggerman

gears did then it went to pc, crackdown is fun as hell, mass effect....idk lots like lots on the ps3 too....hehe

My favorite part of this comment is the "twice as many Game FLOPS". What the hell is "Game FLOPS"? Its Floating point operations per second, there is no game specific FLOPS. In gaming performance is very important and since games rely on complex and heavy calculations floating points are not often used due to slow arithmetic calculations. Therefore it's not important that PS3 has twice the FLOPS.

From a technical aspect, the X360 has a better videocard, ram, and twice the risk-read speed. The ps3 has a better processor and more space on their disks.

I really dunno what Soy was thinking when they decided to put the Cell into their machine. It bottlenecks all their other components many times over which is especially moronic in a world where Video Cards are much more important than processors. (Eg to max Crysis you need at least the second best Videocard but you can do with any of the top 20 processors)
