Playstation 4 a new name?

Any1 else think Playstation 4 sounds abit.... Uninteresting? Playstation 2,3 felt fine but 4? I think its time to move away from the numbers.

PS4.... who really cares about the name ? Playstation is already a know brand, nothing wrong with keeping the same name.

It's the fourth PlayStation. PlayStation 4 just makes sense. No need to waste time coming up with some stupid name *cough*Vita*cough*

Of course the "plystation" part of the name is the brand identifier. Doesn't mean that "4" is the only option they have to create the identity of the next in line to that brand. I should hope that by their fourth iteration they try something new. To simply go with the next sequential numbering after all this time shows a lack of effort in creativity and imagination in coming up with a new brand name.

I so diagree here. While it may be efficient to simply add the next sequential number, it also shows no desire to put any creative effort into coming up with a name. At least Nintendo and Microsoft creates a distinct identity between successors.

I don't think it will be called the PS4 because the number 4 is unlucky in Japan, and Sony is a Japanese company.

I think they should just stick with Playstation 4.

PS4 sounds fine. I wonder if they can simply rename it just the PlayStation, without any numbers.
