"Finally comes the most exciting feature of them all - the first true form of in-game XMB access. Anytime during and anywhere inside Home you can access your friends list (and therefore message people and read messages) by pressing select. "

Not good enough.  Call me back when Sony gets cross-title messaging in every game and refuses to certify a title that doesn't support it.

Wow, what's so great about that? The 360 has the xbox guide button which does the same thing.

Ok I'm just wondering, that works only when you're playing offline right?

Why would it only work offline? You need to be connected to send messages.

Why are people bashing this? I don't think this thread is intended to be some sort of ownage, it's just shows that PSN is improving itself always and trying to compete with XBL, that's all.

Actually, yes you do. You can enter games directly from Home, and you don't exit Home when doing so. You stay in Home the entire time. Games can run concurrently with Home.

They reserve an entire SPU for the OS, so i don't see why that'd be so hard to do.

What, when they make something that loads an entire 3D world just to accomplish a task that could be done in a few seconds with a text menu?  Seriously, I doubt Home can even LOAD in the time it'll take to invite someone to a game in Live.
Accepting an invite is even easier - when it comes in, just hit Guide, select "Accept Invite", and hit A.  Done.  I'll be playing, you'll be staring at a loading screen.
It's like the sideways bicycle - just because it's different doesn't mean it's better.

This is a speerate update from Home. The TC just thought the "ownage" would be better if they were somehow connected.

They claim everything will be available from menues but that just makes Home a gimmik. Fun for a bit but way to slow for day to day use. Completely useless.
