Playstation Home is still in Beta? Srsly?

I couldnt put this in the ps3 forum or id be suspended but I just tried to play home for the first time in like a year, and its still in beta...thats pathetic :|

This was once built up to be something awesome...and it turned out to be such fail. :lol:

I dont see why people hate it so much,what were you guys expecting from it?

Btw I have fun playing pool and chating with my friend list sometimes.

Personally I don't like Home that much, but when ever I do go on there are a lot of people that just hang out and chat. However, if Home gets more games like Sodium One I may start going on more.

Why would it ever leave beta state? So they can always say "It may be crap but just wait for the full product!"nethernova

I think its kinda cool especially because its free but i'm not using it that much. Would be better if more games would give you home rewards like Tekken 6

There are more games like that,Bioshock 2 and Batman AA just to name a couple.

tbh it has grown to what it should have been in the first place and should be quite fun for the Home target market. Not my thing but hey, i know there's always tons of people in Home :) (i always end up waiting in line to play pool or bowling :lol: )

I think Home was a bad investment by Sony. Why didn't they just improve the overall quality of PSN with things like cross-game chat instead of creating a wanna-be 2nd Life failure?

Home is pretty ambitious, and is a longterm thing for SONY. I'd imagine it will be in Beta for atleast another year.

Heck, 1 vs 100 is still in Beta and that's a far smaller project then Home.

I dont like Home even if its just in a BETA state

TBH there's a surprising amount of people jacked in, but I don't know how well the premium content is selling.

My gf thinks its cool but I get bored quick, liking the game themed worlds though. The special room for Resident Evil 5 owners is a great idea and should be used more for other worlds. But that particular exclusive area has nothing but character profiles you can read in the game and a video that takes eternity to buffer.

Its too slow to load, lacks charm and not many people talk.

In seriousness though, it is my own opinion. I think people are crazy for buying useless things such as Home and avatar outfits.
