[QUOTE="Respawn-d"] it started with eyetoy. Get over it. if anything side winder just copied sega Respawn-d
Sega didn't have a motion sensing gamepad.
but they did have camera-based games in development for the DreamEye.
I'm sorry, but Sony isn't the innocent victim here, no matter what way you spin it.
There guilty of what. sidewinder had only 4 ways, right left and up down. Sidewinders layout is also just like sega genisis's Also the dream eye was just a web camI was concerned with the motion controls, not layout. but there's some strikingly similar styles between the original Xbox controller and Sega dreamcast/genesis etc. not like I'm ignorant on this bit of news. not trying to defend MS fully here......
but adding some features(2 extra axis) kept SIXAXIS in the innovation zone? no it doesn't, otherwise Natal is good to go too.
oh wait, having a 2nd analog stick was innovation as well:|(Vectrex, not N64, again, I know) I see how this works.
DreamEye had planned games, kind of like how Sony planned to use the light technology, but there's no proof they had plans to use a Wiimote-esque controller. the design choice was the problem. and this video proves little. considering we already knew there's differences between the light tech vs. a sensor bar and infrared.
the Dreamcast being in all of this discussion.....it was 'ahead of its time' for more than 1 reason;)
