Not bad, but it seems to struggle with the ps1 emulation. This definitely can't be the psp2.lbjkurono23
its not the psp2, which brings up the question of what is Sony's move. they truly don't expect me buy a psp2 and aXperia Play.

They are calling it the Playstation Pocket?

It's not.. It's just a phone

I'm aware. it's just that we've been reading that it could be the same device and this pretty much confirms that it's two different devices. It will and it shouldI know it's not the PSP2, but it says Playstation Pocket on the screen. Maybe it will play minis?

i assume we wont see any full retail games (god of ware, LBP ect.) on the device. rather smaller games like Mini. Which i would be okay with, because that would actually make the psp2 and this thing different.

Really? It's an odd looking keyboard to be JUST a phone... How intriguing of Sony to use a very similar setup to the PS controller or the PSP on a phone... Really what could this mean if it is just a phone? (sarcasm)
It better be a good phone and gaming combo i really do want one of them and if it's a decent price then i'll be having one once the post-release reviews have been done.
It would make this thing pointless. If someone cares so much about gaming they would get a expensive mobile phone with a game pad I'd assume they would also get the latest hand held... making the inferior gaming phone completely pointless.i assume we wont see any full retail games (god of ware, LBP ect.) on the device. rather smaller games like Mini. Only if you are in the market for a new handheld and a new smartphone at the same time. PSP2 is aimed at gamers and is competition for ds3. PSPhone is aimed at the phone crowd and is competition for iphone and other android phones. It's seems like sony ericsson has finally gotten the permission to use the playstation brand for a phone. I don't see it being a serious gaming platform, just a cash-in (though I think the hardware will be great).

but how many people download games for their phone, but dont own a dedicated handheld or even a console. They could just be rolling it out with Minis and casual games ( a la angry birds) and giving it the playstation name for recognition. This is their jump into casual handheld market. If the apple App store has proven anything, there is money in 99 cent games

Thats if the phone it self is a great phone... there's too much competition around and apple juggernaught is due for a upgrade this year too. Please Log In to post.
