No wireless PSVR2? Come on Sony.
I’m just glad it’s getting real controllers this time. The move controllers mixed with the PS camera ended up spoiling the PSVR experience for me. This looks like PS has taken things more seriously. The cord is a bummer, but the power constraints of the cordless VR stuff is still too big of a deal.
Just like with the original, it will come out, and outside of some shitty indie titles, it won't support anything. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS SHIT? I don't get it. If you release something like that, ALL your first party must support it, and none of them do. Incredibly dumb.
Never had a VR never played it before 4th of July when I was hanging out with some people but after trying some vr than I want to get PSVR 2 and be able to play call of the mountain and also games like beat saber. I hope I can get a pre order though because considering I have not seen a ps5 in stock yet in store or online only have 1 because I was able to get a pre order in before it launched if I cant get a pre order I I will likely not be able to get one untill like 2026.

Oh well, beggars can't be choosers🤷♂️
I'd be surprised if Sony does a PSVR2+PS5 bundle and yes, I know it's gonna cost more.
The problem I have with VR at the moment, it already has a limited library, and these assholes (Sony/Facebook) are trying to segment it up into their own fiefdoms.
It's a bussiness yea, competition. But as a consumer, who's putting down something like 400 -1000 quid for a headset, just to get locked out of content, it's fucking bullshit.

I agree exclusives are hurting VR it's a new medium somewhat and needs all the games it can get to grow.
No wireless? This thing will flop hard. Who the heck does VR with a wired headset in 2023?
You’re just bitter that Nintendo flopped with their cardboard gimmick known as the Labo 🤣
Are they gonna dump support for PSVR2 as fast as they did PSVR1?
No wireless PSVR2? Come on Sony.
That was know for a very long time that it would be wired. At least is just one wire. But specs are great. Expect huge jump in quality
Wireless is the only way to go.
@SolidGame_basic:
any particular games people looking forward to? could that half-life game possibly be released or was that entirely exclusive
hopefully i can get the pre order soon as, unlike the hassle of getting the ps5. was surprised to see this tweet this morning, i really would like to play horizon
am i to presume it is b.c with the ps4 vr games? apollo 11, titanic vr and kingdom hearts are on the list
@strategyfn: this will be my first VR system!
Horizon is gonna blow your mind. I hope valve ports Alyx as well.
Imagine Alyx coming to PS VR 2? Herms would lose it, even though they claim to not care about exclusives lolol.

I definitely would like to catch up on some great games that came out on the original. As for the PS VR 2, I’m sure there will be stuff at launch. Alyx would be great. The new Horizon game will probably be a great showcase game.

Don't think most would care because they don't realise the game exists. Not even 0.0001% of Hermits had a chance to play it.
Everyone I talk to is a huge fan of Half Life, yet the only person I know that has had a chance to play it is @uninspiredcup
Of course extremely jealous of him and that is why I stalk him on Twitter to see when he's doing the VR headset giveaway.

Is it? I think that you not aware that PSVR 2 is much more advanced than Oculus 2. OLED, haptics, eye tracking ( foveated rendering ), higher FOV. Surely it will be expensive. Adding a wireless will be much more expensive addition. One cable shouldn't be a problem.
Are they gonna dump support for PSVR2 as fast as they did PSVR1?
But, but you are a PS fan? Stop pretending that you an PS fan, Kvally. You are pure Xbox fan. EOD
If you didn't know, games for PSVR are still releasing after all these years.. Latest were Moss 2 and Stride 2 months ago or so.

Yes, wireless is the only way to go, no questions asked. I am completely aware of all of the VR options. One cable is a problem.
Of course I am a PS fan. Just not a fan of gimmicks like VR/Kinect/WiiMote. I know about all games that have released for everything. Sony has dumped support for PSVR1 long ago.
@x_hedon:
If Sony dumped PSVRsupport a long ago, games wouldn't release for it. But they are still coming. You are not aware of VR options. Best VRs on the market are wired ones.
Saying that you are not fan of gimmicks like VR, yet you mentioned that wireless VR is a way to go, but that VR is also a gimmick. LOL. Flip flop Kvally, flip flop.

Supply us a list of all the new big AAA games that Sony has released in the past 2 years.
And yes, WIRELESS is the way to go. Gimmick or not. Why does that trigger you?
@strategyfn: this will be my first VR system!
If this is your first time trying a VR system, your initial reaction will probably be wow. My very first time putting on PSVR, I saw a game menu, Drive Club, and I couldn’t help but say “holy shit” out loud.
I’m glad to hear your taking the dive into PSVR. Let’s hope it has games or it is backwards compatible. I had a tonne of fun with Skyrim VR, RIGS and a few other games.
Somewhat excited for this. I was kind of over the VR thing, but did a test for a sports game and fell back in love w/ VR. Can't wait to see how this holds up.

Dreams VR support in 2020. And Blood and Truth i think
Mentioning VR as a gimmick by you it was like it discusts you, but you want a wireless VR, but VR is a gimmick. Not supported by own company doesn't mean support ended. Support ended till the last game come out for a platform 1st party or not 1st party.

Like I said, Sony dropped VR support like a fucking brick.
@SolidGame_basic: its just more plastic junk. Its not like our oceans need more of this plastic polluting them. Why didn't sony just allow people to use a regular USB cable with their existing VR headset, like an occulus quest 2?? Im sure ZUCKERBURG would have been happy to do it.
@SolidGame_basic: At least Labo was wireless.
ooff, labo >> psvr2
^ nuff said 🤣
@SolidGame_basic: it's 2022 and sony is still releasing a wired VR set, let that marinate for a minute then let it sink in.
@x_hedon: They were releasing "AAA" games on PSVR practically all the way up to the release of the PS5.
Ex. Iron Man released in July 2020.
There hasn't been any more games from PlayStation because they're focused on PSVR2.
See - Horizon Call of the Mountain
We could argue their support was always thin but, saying they "dropped support" as if they just walked away from it without an explanation or reason is not true.
A successor was announced 6 months from their last game and, it's going to be accompanied by their largest scale VR game to date. I'd say that's a net positive in terms of VR support going forward.

So, devs are still supporting PSVR with games in 2022. So, PSVR has a support till this day
