This is crazy. Once you install Bioshock, the Securom copy protection (owned by Sony) is on your computer forever. Even if you uninstall the game, it stays there. Forever. Its almost impossible to get rid of unless you reformat your HD's. Its like rootkit all over again. You also can't install Bioshcock on more than two computers at the same time.

Heres a notice to 2k: Copy protection doesn't work. It never has and never will. Within a few weeks, the game will be cracked.

PC gamers need to stand up and let publishers know they wont put up with these Draconian restrictions.

That alone should scare anyone off. Rootkits? At least I didn't have to deal with any rootkits when I imported some of those CD's..

damned if you do, damned if you don't. you've already said what if you do. if you don't, then publishers have reason to stop supporting the PC.

Its a necessary evil. I really don't care if I have securom on my computer. I got nothing to hide, and even if I did, securom isn't the ends all deterrant, not by a long shot.

Proof or no cookie ...

Then again I guess lemmings are starving for great games,... I mean really great games ... not clinging onto Rainbow-Downgrade Vegas and Gears of War.

I'm sorry, but you're worried about Securom? Securom's been around forever and is terribly easy to bypass if you're into that sort of thing.

Who cares? Just don't priate software. Is that really hard not to do?

It is a necessary evil in todays world. So many people rip off respectable companies, then complain when they can't do it anymore. I find it sick.

I installed Bioshock on my PC and I don't have that problem. Everything runs fine and I don't see anything out of place.Wasdie
I had one incident installing that made me giggle. AVG reported that Bioshock was trying to install spyware (securom). I also cried a little on the inside and didn't care, because securom doesn't prevent crap.

Your saying we should boycott a product asking for it to be made eaiser to steal. I do believe your logic is flawed.
