Please tell me how 2011 PSWii360 exclusives can compete with PC

PC exclusives in 2011: Diablo 3, Star Wars: Old Republic, Shogun 2: TW (confirmed AAA), The Witcher 2, Guild Wars 2, End of Nations, Jagged Alliance 3, Warhammer 40k- Dawn of War Retribution, Torchlight 2, MS Flight.

Easily 3 AAA and3 AA exclusives in that bunch. :shock: I'm probably missing some too. None of the 3 consoles will beat that.

well i think the ps3 has one big excluse(at least) for each month this year, so the competition for PC is with the ps3. So far the others are not doing well in terms of exclusives.

do they have to beat it. can they just not co-exist offering diiferent types of games for different types of people. im about to drop about £700 on a new rig but id never sell my consoles to fund it. i like more choice. but thats just me

Thought we were talking about exclusives in general. If we're talking currently, well, I got nothing to say. Sure, PC is superior, but I'm fine with consoles, because I'll be able to play Skyward Sword on my Wii, and it's much cheaper.

I think console gamers just have too sit back and play games and have fun...while hermits talk about how half life 2, starcraft, diablo, and counter strike are the greatest games ever made and watch as developers start making games for consoles in droves cause some pc games see a 90% piracy rate.

Solid games. Lets not argue here, but inFamous 2 and Uncharted 3 are games I absolutely can't wait for. Twisted Metal and Motorstorm Appocolapse fill that need for speed and action (each have both in the package!). Resistance 3 looks awesome, Killzone 3 reviewed fairly well. And LBP2 was the first AAA of 2011. So to summarize, the games I just listed above are the games I'm interested in. I want Mass Effect 3, maybe Skyrim, but I'm not dying for any MMOs or RPGs. Or sims of any kind.

Also 360 gets Dark Souls !!!!!!!!!!!!!! (FAR better than Withcer 2 time exclusivity), Codename Kingdoms (best looking game ever), Alan Wake 2, Fable 4, next Halo, Gears 3, Project Draco, Dust Elysian Tale, FF13-2and a huge number of other titles PC does not get

Add Last Guardian, FF13vs, Ni no Kuni on PS3 and Zelda SS on Wii

While all PC games i want are on my xbox360 (and Withcer 2 and even Diablo 3 soon)

Also i hate MMOs, so PC has nothing for me, consoles everything

I must admit that is a fantastic lineup and excellent response. Looks like PS3 is PC's main competitor this year.

While I agree OP that consoles basically are awful, there is accounting for taste.

Console games are very very easy, extreme handholding etc.; so if you like that then obviously consoles are great in 2011.

However, if you like deep games, better graphics and the best version of multiplats PC is the only option.

1 good PC game invalidates the entire console library.

Take UC2 for example, while a good game, it's definitely not a game as much as an interactive "go here now" movie.

SWTOR alone makes the console library/exclusives laughable; but SW fears spending $$ on their hobby, so they will ignore games that are clearly legendary.

Once you experience the obvious superiority of PC gaming, it comes naturally. :P

That's good for PC gamers. Most of those titles don't really interest me, though. I'm much more excited for Dark Souls, Gears 3, and the Last Guardian than any of the games TC listed.

Witcher 2 is not on consoles

They have already stated that Diablo 3 is not on consoles but that they were hiring a team for a possible future "diablo-like" title for consoles

Torchlight 1 is on xbla and torchlight 2 is nowhere to be seen on consoles, just saying that for these theree you're just making things up, or just using news from 2010.

I hate strategy games so that list fails to me.

Sorry but I have zero interest in any of the games the tc named. Gee, maybe that's why I don't play PC games maybe? I'm much more interested in Skyward Sword, Uncharted 3, Gears 3, The Last Guardian, and Tales of Graces f. Compete schmete.

Notice how that list is populated with RPGs/Strategy games? Yeah. Some people don't like those kinds of games. Some people like to have cinematic simple experiences. So there's your answer. PC has nothing that can compare to games like Uncharted or Gears of War or Alan Wake.

It's all about the style of gaming you prefer. I prefer a lot of games on consoles, but I still like PC games, and that's why I have a gaming PC. But honestly, this PC elitism makes me sick. I almost don't want to be a part of this community if it's so full of elitists.

Well, PS3 has more AAA and AA so far, but Sims Medieval hasn't gotten reviewed. I thinnk it's a great year for PC and Consoles.GeneralShowzer

I agree this is a great year for both PC and consoles.

But I think it's worth mentioning that Gamespot have not reviewed some games like Drakensang: The River of Time, Gemini Rue and Space Chem yet. All of them have AAE Metacritic scores. Not to mention some promising games coming by the end of this month like Asylum and IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover which will probably not be reviewed by Gamespot.

They don't have to compete. Both can co-exist since all 4 (not combining them) are great. I find PC's lineup superior though.

Does one not relize that the pc main seller steam doesn't relase any sale numbers to the public.

That statement is about as stupid as it gets coming oto piracy, the piracy rate is fare lower, there is money to made, hell if its as bad as you say pc wouldn't exist, and ea wouldn't have come out and said they will be looking in the pc platform.

Wow , this has to be one of the most ignorant posts here i read on these forums, do you know how much is pirated on 360 ? 360 gets pirated games weeks in advance, what about the DS and PSP ? And how about the PS3 ? I dont think anyone here takes you seriously ever.
