I definitely think that you should get a 360. It is a great console with a great selection of games, and a very good online service that is well worth $50 in my opinion. Halo 3 is a game that can last you years, this is evident with Halo 2. So if you want to play great games on a great console get the 360.

The 360 currently has the best library. There is a lot more than just one game to buy.

The way I see it, when you buy a console, there should be several games that should interest you in the console either out at present or coming out later. Hence you should make lists of games coming out on each console that you're interested in, and obviously the console with more games you want to play, will be a better option for you.. If Halo 3 is the only game you want on 360, while it is a pretty popular game, you may want to just wait for the pc version to come out to play it. I can tell you as a ps3 owner, i've had a great experience so far with the system. I enjoy all the features and games, and i'm personally looking forward to the coming lineup not only of 08', but this year as well. I would personally vote for ps3 because of the reliability, hardware, features, and upcoming game lineup, however i think it may suit you better to try out the method i described above for choosing a game console as i think that is probably the way YOU not fanboys will be most satisfied.
first off just wanted to tell you that I played halo 2 today which does show how great the mp is but just do the math I mean halo 3 comes out in one month while all the good ps3 games come out in a year.
