[QUOTE="bizzy420"][QUOTE="imprezawrx500"][QUOTE="bizzy420"][QUOTE="imprezawrx500"] what's the point in getting a console over a pc if you have to install games before you can play them, have to update games before you can go online and have gready os robbing ram away which consoles really lack?
with all these new ps3 games requiring 4gb+ install size that tiny 40gb hdd isn't going to last long and its all the big ps3 games that are requring the installs.
why buy ps3 when you can get a = pc for the same price or a much faster one for not much more?
imprezawrx500
so how much is a GOOD PC with a 8800gtx? also which games require a 4+gb install?why get the gtx when the gys (g92) is just as good for HALF THE PRICE?
pc hdds are dirt cheap, 500gb is the price of one or 2 ps3 games. 40gb is from like 2002
umm yea i know 40gb hdd are pretty small in size compared to a desktop that does more than play games, so it needs a bigger hdd, but i was just asking how much does a good pc cost that will run all current games.
i've been thinking about building a new pc soon, but theres so many deals out there for pre-configured/built systems i dont know if i should get one already made, or build one myself. dell has a deal with a Q66, 8800, 2-3gb ram, and a bluray drive for like $975.
ok then here in nz ps3 = $800 athlon x2 4000 $80, 2gb ram $50 8600gt $150 (just as good as any console), mob $100, case $30, power supply $60 for decent one, dvd $50, hdd, $110 for 320gb
so $630 + $140 for windows and you will be able to run every game maxed in 720p except crysis
the main reason why i want to build a pc, is for crysis. from what i hear even 8800's cant run crysis on highest settings with playable frames.
anyways what do you think of that deal i listed??
its a q6600
3gb ram
8800 512mb
bluray drive
& most likely a crappy mobo,
for $975.
