Pokemon Platinum ,first pic , plus announcement inside.

CoroCoro Magazine has revealed Pokémon Platinum, the third game in the 4th generation series of Pokémon games. It shows off the new "Origin" form of Giratina used in the upcoming movie, a revamped battle interface, better clothes for the male lead (thank God). Some other reported features include:

• September release (in Japan?), Giratina on the box
• Volkner is no longer the Sunyshore City gym leader
• The Underground is now Wi-Fi enabled
• Battle Island revealed; same concept as Battle Frontier in Emerald
• No new Pokémon (obviously), but some new forms including Giratina's Origin Form, Regigigas' Sky Form, as well as Shaymin's Another Form. The former two gain the "Levitate" ability, while Shaymin's new form is part Ice-type.

This isn't one of our jokes, but it's not been 100% confirmed by Nintendo either. For now, we'll stick it in the same category as Kid Icarus for the Wii: it's coming for sure, we're just waiting on the Nintendo announcement. Thanks to piplupmaster for the heads up.

I like it better on a handheld. I like bring it with me to play on the go. I have over a 100 hours into Diamond.

Ha, is that all. I have almost 150 :P. I'm way too obsessed. I don't have any really high level guys, but I have a few dozen between levels 50 and 60.

I jumped on board with Blue back in the day and loved it. I tried picking it up again with Pearl and hated it. I really don't think the series was good after the first 151.foxhound_fox

It was an upgrade in almost every single part of the franchise, truly the golden age for the it.

Which is why I am waiting patiently for dusk gold/dawn silver, if the rumors are true.

Seperating Special/Physical by move instead of type was a stroke of genius. It really allowed pokemon like Gyrados, Kingler, and Hitmonchan a chance to shine. They also had a whole bunch of neat new abilities. However, the best part was that for once the Elite 4 was actually marginally difficult.

i really hate the new pokemon games

throw me a freaking bone here rare, i mean i will even go as far as to say that ruby and sapphire were awesome, because they were. but the new games are just plain freaking ***. and don't even get me started about that ******** wii game they put out.

I knew a new version of the latest Pokemon would be released with more features,hence why I didn't plan on buying Diamond or Pearl at the moment; I'll get this instead.^_^VGobbsesser

I don't know if that a good plan. One of the cool things will be using some of you D/P Pokemon in another game. If they allow that like normal.

I hate how they basically come out with three different versions of what is essentially the same game. You have to get them all to get all of the Pokemon, though, which is stupid.dewmandew7

Umm, no, you can just trade with people. And now with online that's easier than ever. Also, you only need two versions. The third is missing a few from each version.

Good point... I still don't understand why they need multiple versions. Just a marketing ploy, I suppose...

This game needs to be a MMORPG. I've envisioned it since I saw the first Everquest that Nintendo needs to take the franchise in that direction whether it be on handheld or console. I just think Nintendo isn't willing to move one of their handheld corner stones over to console.
