I don't get why they don't just play the fainting animation straight after the hp goes to 0. It's always looked dumb and frankly been a waste of time that they wait to give you some text.
that gameplay made me not want to get it :( anyone has any details on the story ?

Its pokemon! it never had a story, its all about battles and capturing pokemons and fighting people.
it does have a story.. i mean the 1st and 2nd generation had a pretty lame team rocket story. The 3rd had a more interesting fight between 2 legendary pokemon and their fanatics. The 4th was just downright ridiculous.... to the point they created god as a pokemon. The 5th had the best story and the best oposing team with their leader, who actually managed to prove themselves powerful among the pokemon world. so what's the 6th gen about ? Going through the game to just collect the 8 gym badgess and then beating the elite 4 all over again twice within a year doesn't seem too appealing. The 3D battles are nice but they also seem like they will slow down pokemon  battles and god knows how many of them there will be along the way. So... throw me a bone.. the story is always a good motivation to me in pokemon games that make me believe something different is gonna happen this journey that makes me want to sink my teeth in it once again..... ( I beat blue / yellow / silver/ ruby / fire red / soul silver / platinium / black / and black 2... that's a hell of a lot of journeys i've made and in every single one i left a couple of lv 100 pokemons except in platinium and black 2 )

Didn't play Black but Black 2 was awful. They force you to have like an hour of boring story shit. I just pressed a a bunch and did something else when that was happening. I never even payed attention to the story, I beat diamond twice and I don't even remember the main dude's name or even what their team was called.
The stories in the games are absolutely awful. People say Black is good, but they probably mean compared to the other pokemon games which isn't saying much.
So much this. The gameplay hasn't evolved since I was in fcuking 3rd grade!
It's nice to know that you're completely ignorant about this series, but go ahead and make a fool of yourself claiming you know what you're talking about.

I'm going to get it, and enjoy it. I think people that are hyped for this though are expecting some radical change to the series, when it'll more then likely just be...pokemon but in 3D. Either way day one.
