To those without a PS3, will you buy one if it drops in price to $299 on April 6th?

Only if it comes with Resistance 2 and BC.AltAcctI heard i a rumor that it would come with Resistance
Sorry its been too long and not only am I satisfied with my wii I no longer care about the PS3. :? thats just what happens when you wait this long to make your console buyable I guess.
really? in the uk wii has the most expensive games, as they never drop in price. The pc is cheapest, but the ps3 and 360 come out at about 20-30 compared to the wii's 25-39.If it comes bundled with a game. The price for a single ps3 game is nuts.

crazy stuff, the ps3 did come out at £425 over here so they owe us something.I plan on getting a PS3 in a few weeks whether the price drops or not, so I just voted the second option. But if the price does drop, that will allow me to buy a few extra things. I want to get a extra controller and upgrade the HDD, so that would happen faster with a price drop.

crazy stuff, the ps3 did come out at £425 over here so they owe us something. Where are you buying new PS3/360 games at £20-30??I already own a 60GB PS3, so my answer would be "No!". Even if it dropped to $299, the deal I got for my 60GB PS3 on Ebay was still better by a mile.
I doubt the price will drop to $299. It'll drop to $349 at the lowest. If it dropped any lower then that Sony would still be losing money and they don't want that obviously.
To the 6 who posted no, never thats ridiculous. Even if it was free. That is some real fanboyism right there
Yeah I'd get one, doubt it would be true though. At this point I don't see a price drop til after the summer.
maybe 2 consoles is enough for me. get over yourself. To the 6 who posted no, never thats ridiculous. Even if it was free. That is some real fanboyism right there

I live in Denmark and the stores also takes around 70 euros for a single games, however in the UK I can buy games for 40 euros including delivery o_0[QUOTE="Lto_thaG"]really? in the uk wii has the most expensive games, as they never drop in price. Compared to the Euro countries that is. 1 euro = 0.9BP...new games come at about 40 pounds(?) tops last time I checked. New games are 60-70 euros where I live. I believe the governement removed or lowered the taxes on everything in the UK right? If it comes bundled with a game. The price for a single ps3 game is nuts.

Even if it was free.ZacherWol19The poll says "I will never buy a PS3". How would one go about buying something that's free?
[QUOTE="Mckenna1845"]crazy stuff, the ps3 did come out at £425 over here so they owe us something. Where are you buying new PS3/360 games at £20-30??Pretty much anywhere but the rip-off merchants known as game/Gamestation. Check the supermarkets etc, they do some great deals. I got SF4 for £24.99 at tesco on release day.[QUOTE="Lto_thaG"]

yeah by 2.5%, which is pretty pointless, its the supermarkets competing thats driving prices down, it happened with petrol the government don't really have a say.

Over here in Malta games for both 360 & PS3cost practically the same (new games sell for around Eur65 - Eur70), lately been buying from UK sites since i get them for around Eur30 - Eur35 (incl shipping).. then sometimes you get special offers like i got in January on PGR4 for only Eur12 :)

Yeah, I should really do that too, it's freaking gaming paradise in the UK now...:P Compared to our prices anyway. I saw a deal last week on the website of Comet (some electronics store?) for a 360 Elite bundled with Re5 and an extra controller. 230 pounds! The Elite is 299euros where I live....and that's just the console..:? Here it isyeah by 2.5%, which is pretty pointless, its the supermarkets competing thats driving prices down, it happened with petrol the government don't really have a say.Mckenna1845The stores should really do that here too...The prices for games have been locked at 60-70 euros for years. (pretty much since the euro arrived in 2002).
Only if it comes with Resistance 2 and BC.AltAcctThis. Bundles are more important than people think. Seriously, I paid $300 for my 60G 360 Pro...and it came bundled with GeoW1 and a year's Gold sub (which was supposed to be another game, but it was out of stock so I bargained for the Gold card). Just the bundled items were worth over $100, and I was actually playing a quality game for the entry fee. At the time, the PS3 was $400 with...nothing. North America needs bundle love.
