Poll: Did Sony's Gamer Day convince you to buy a PS3?

CES convinced me.

SGD reinforced that decision.

uncharted was simply amazing :O

R&C onstage demo looked great as well near the middle when they were on the pirate ship was most impressive.

Heavenly Sword looked alright, personally not a big fan.

Folk Soul might move around some more PS3 in japan.

The doubts I had in buying a PS3 are gone though, gonna get one for sure. Might wait for the first price drop though.

Yeah, even though I have a PS3 already, I'd have the same outlook if I didn't. E3 is going to take it even further!

It atleast made me think about the day when that dust-gathering piece of metal may actually be played in this household again.....

Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune look incredible. Those two games along with Lair are going to do the system well.....but it's still not going to survive much longer in my opinion. After FFXIII and Folk's Soul are done along with the aforementioned games and LittleBigPlanet....that could be it for the  PS3 I think.

People will vote no on here, since mostly everyone is lemmings now...

This conference made me think of buying a ps3 in the near future. I can't wait for E3 when we see a lot, a lot more than what we've seen this week...

I'm also thinking of getting a psp again.

Lol, yeah. Most of the Lems and Sheep will just vote no. You sold your PS3? Man, IMO that was a bad move (unless you really needed the money). Because from late summer to winter, PS3 will have some amazing games. That, including home, and a possible price drop (I even heard rumors of it being packaged with Spidey 3 on BR).

The difference between the 360 and the PS3 is marginal at best, and not worth the $200.   Plus, I'm not spending $600 on a machine that's got the lowest attach rate and is selling the least out of the three.  Regardless of what fanboys believe, developers will NOT support that system just like they're not supporting the PSP nearly as much as they are the DS.

And there are no facts to the contrary. Going by what's going on right now with sales and all and devs like UbiSoft refusing to release stuff cause of a lack of "install base" and Capcom backing out exclusives and not sharing 360 ones....yeah, I think that's enough.

No not really. We got footage of games we already hd footage of, and no footage of games that we had no footage of...so in other words, we got nill. We also got some 40 titles announced, which is cool, but it also means those games wont be out for over a year.goblaa

Uncharted, Folklore, Socom, are some really big games that weren't shown (in action) before SGD.

Those, including: MGS4 (which will explode at E3), Ratchet, Killzone, Lair, Heveanly Sword, NG: Sigma, Warhawk, Little Big Planet, are just some of the games that will all realease this year! Ranging from alot of different genres, all worthy purchases and great looking/ playing games :).

This isn't even including multiplats.

Trust me, from now on most (if not all) Capcom games will be multiplat. One great incentive for DMC going to 360 was the fact that it wasn't yet released on PS3. Now they can lanch both of they near each other (if not on the same day). Also, the next LP and DR will no doubt be on both systems.

Yeah, 'cause going through massive droughts with the gamecube was 4 years of fun and adventure.

Please, I learned my lesson las gen: buy the console that has the largest userbase, and you're guranteed a nice selection.

Nothing Sony has done yet has convinced me to buy a PS3. Dropping the 499 model, showing nothing but videos on their first PS3 E3, showing nothing at all on the following E3... and not having anything worth dropping 599 on at all right now all equal no cash out of my pocket for Sony.

I really wish it were otherwise. I had planned on getting a PS3 all along and I still will eventually, but as it stands I can only see $299 worth of potential. Until it reaches that price or proves it's worth more, I'm not buying.

I already wanted one since it was anounced. so no :PI just wished they had made some release date anouncements.

The lack of games is stoping me from buying one.

I've already been convinced to buy one... in 2009.

Only thing there that made me think of picking one up earlier was Uncharted.
Everything else (Lair, Heavenly Sword, and that bowling tripe) left me firmily in the "Meh" range.

That, and I don't like Ratchet & Clank. 

Already had one, and the show was awesome, and only made me feel even better about my decision to get a PS3.   i gurantee you when these games start hitting retail, PS3 sales are gonna surge.  I personally know of 2 people that are just waiting for FF13 and another thats just waiting for MGS4 and Drakes Fortune.

Me personally I love Blue ray Movies, and I love the games thats on the system right now + with free online, you can't go wrong.  Home is looking amazing + with the onslaught of good games.... PS3 is def gonna get some major play time out of me.

Sony had some kind of game expo where they showed a bunch of PS3 games. All the gaming sites are covering it. Did it make you want to buy a PS3 or was it not convincing enough? I borrowed a PS3 for about a week and I didn't feel any desire to go and buy the thing. This show didn't really push me much towards buying it either. JiveT

These are a few reasons why I bought my ps3 and sony is already showing us new IP's that will definately put the ps3 on another level to its rivals. Just look at all these games and if u tell me u aint impressed then I guess your just another blind fanboy. These games look fantastic and the graphics on these games look better then what were shown at the 2005 e3 and they have already wowed alot of us with just a few games that arent even there main killer appz. This is just the begining and killzone 2 and MGS4 and final fantasy 13 and vs and others like white knight story gran turismo, tekken 6 and many others havent been showcased but I think they are saving those for E3 and the tokyo game show. People that were saying the ps3 has no games can now believe, yes it may have been a early bad start, but I can only see things going up once alot of the big name titles come around. One game that has gotten me hyped and looks to be a hit is Uncharted Drakes Fortune. Wow that game looks beautiful and Ratchet And Clank, simply amazing. I want almost every game that sony showed at there gamers day. I cant wait to play these awesome games. :)
