And I don't mean just a commercial succsess... Im talking having a dedicated online community that won't just fade away... that will stay like cod4 and ultimatley complete the Playstation Network.
Do You think they pull off M.A.G succsessfully?

With all the delays this year there isn't too much to look forward to. I just hope this isn't the years huge flop.
They'll probably be able to make it work (or else they would've abandoned the project a long time ago), but I don't it drawing a ton of people to play. Sure, it's amazing for being able to have 256 people playing at the same time, but the experience isn't going to be too different from other multiplayers like Killzone and Resistance.
I'm guessing that the multiplayer will be like Battlefield 2 to spread people out and capture different points, but then, it's just one big map broken up into a couple skirmishes.
I really hope it does, because it would pave the way for more games like it (I mean, who doesn't want to play with 255 other people?).

I just hope it does not end up becoming a game where more people focus on working by themselves rather than with the team.
I hope it will be as good as Warhawk. I wonder if it will be released on psn or come bundled with a hedset.
The problem with MAG isn't so much whether Zipper can get it running and balanced, it's whether or not the community will play the game the "right" way (ie teamwork and structured leadership rather than lone-wolf running and gunning). It's similar to the multiplayer in CoD 4 and Killzone 2 -- great in theory, but unless the average player can grasp the nuances of the gameplay and work as part of a team (such as CoD 4's spawn system and Killzone 2's squads), it's just going to devolve into a massing cluster****.

Yeah, that's the biggest issue the game has at the moment. Hopefully there are enough benefits you get while following orders to sway people towards being a team.
As decent as Warhawk?
I thought that game was pretty dam good, until COD4 came out and killed it for me
I think it will be decent, I am just worried about enough people buying the game to support 256 battles in every room
it looks like a huge flop to me.looks so generic.pretty much like a battlefield game without being near as interesting.without the 256 player number.no one would even care if this game existed.
another? the communites for some of the shooters ive played are horrible.no one communicates, let alone play the games.killzone 2 is already dieing and its a really solid shooter.i just see this happening again.but with no single player, and horrible lag issues.which wont help its caseI think it will be successful, and I question the idea that what the PSN needs is another successful shooter to be "complete".

*snip*codezer0OT: What is your avatar from?
yeah i do... eventually... my bet is it will run badly the first few weeks or months before they get their act together just like warhawk
this game will be the ultimate FPS/War Sim.KillzownerGreat troll. But you have to mix it up once in a while, if you do the same shtick twice in one day, you'll give yourself away.
It will be as good as warhawk.
A game that started out with no identification with warhawks because it was much easier and better to stay on foot an be the god you were then with successive updates made so that warhawks are the only thing you have a choice to get into because otherwise you will die upon spawn constantly because the enemy is bombing your base constantly.
