When a game you want is released on both 360 & PS3, which console do you get it for?

Depends. I'm always looking for which one has the better controls, plays better, and if it'll have a good online community.
Agreed, If its online I buy 360, single player depends on the performance.Depends. I'm always looking for which one has the better controls, plays better, and if it'll have a good online community.

I chose other. If it is a shooter I usually go 360 because 360 is made for them and have more people to play online, but if it is other things I go with PS3. Street fighter I bought for both because I wanted to play with friends online and some only own either a PS3 or a 360.adastosHey, i'm curious, i only own a PS3. What are the differences btw SFIV on both consoles?
When I had both, I bought them mostly for the PS3, because that is the system most of my RL friends have. But the 360 versions, especially back then, were often more polished than the PS3's. I don't have my 360 anymore, but the consensus opinion around here is that the differences in multiplat releases are now more even, though recent releases like FO3 and Ghostbusters still noticeably favored the 360.
360 easy, no brainer
live + achievements = win
plus the majority of them look better on the 360, and very few even get exlusive dlc (or timed exclusive dlc)
i have cod4 on the 360 and ps3 cause on the psn it's fun to glitch around in matchmaking =p
oh and the majority of my friends have 360's so that helps

Easy. If a game happens to come out on the PC besides home gaming consoles, then PC.
If a certain game happens to only come out for the 360 & PS3, then 360, due to them running & looking better than PS3, having great multiplayer & online than PS3, & a much better controller than PS3.
My PS3 only gets played for exclusives & Blu-Ray.
I chose other. If the game has a heavy online componant I go with PS3. I like PSN better then XBL because of trophies and free online. But I'd probly get an ofline game that looked better on 360 for 360 like Ghostbusters. Or if it looks better on PS3 like prototype I'll get it for PS3.
I usually get'em on the 360 mainly because my collection is bigger so its like the "default" console, this in the case that both games are rated similar, if there're some noticeable differences then I get the better version of course. In the ps3 I only have maybe 2 or 3 non exclusives and one of them (fallout3) y got it on the other platforms too...
Oh also I almost forgot that multiplayer has a saying in there too.. I used to love xbox live when i played halo 3 but once that my second membership expired I decided that better is free so if Im planning on playing a lot of mp I'll go with the ps3 version (or even better the PC version)
Provided performance is equal I'll choose PS3. Who know's if my 360 will even be working 5 years from now if I decide to replay a game. Granted the same could be said for the PS3 but it's generally more reliable. I'll choose PC over either if I can, unless I have a bunch of friends playing on 360 then I may go that route.
Depends on a few things for me:
1.What system has the DLC faster
2.What system has better performance
3. Which system's control feels better for the game
4. What system the I personally feel the game should be played on (FF13 should be played on PS3 while Bioshock 2 should be played on 360 etc.)
5. Most importantly, which system most of my friends get it for.

Anytime, and it is really the only difference I find is that certain super moves are easier to do with the 360 joystick aside from people trash taking you on the 360 when you use Dan online. I was being sarcastic by the way. Nah, but my question was more about the community, how easy it was to get a game online on both systems, which you'ld consider had the better players. Stuff like that.
Theres no point in doing a poll in SW because there are so many idiots who don't read the title or fanboys who just vote to make their console look better. It's a shame as it's a valid question.
I personally buy most multiplats for my 360 as i like the idea of using my 360 as my achievement hub, if you will. When looking at my PS3 games, out of the 10 i own, only 2 are multiplat. Street Fighter 4 i got because the controller is much better for fighting games and UT3 because at the time it was a choice between PS3 and PC and my Pc wasn't that good.
I don't have a single friend on my PS3 that i actually, physically know, yet on my 360 i have probably upwards of 30. It makes sense for me to buy all online orientated games on my 360 for this reason.
