Poll: Have you bought a PS2 since the price drop to $99?

I did. I purchased my PS2 last Sunday. I never owned one before. I told this story already, but basically I couldn't afford one when it was the current gen console from Sony since I was in undergrad living on student loans and scholarship money. By the time I had a decent job and could afford one, PS3 had already been out for about 2 years, so I got that instead. And now I can say I finally have a PS2 as well. How about you? :)

somebody offered their ps2 collection with a ps2 (with like 50+ games) and i said no and i continue to wish for having that offer once again, but it probbably won't happen

i find it very easy to get back into the older games especially when PS2 games were hot. most new games now these days are either too easy, too short or dont really grab your attention as much.

i will this summer there are a ton a old PS2 games i never got around to playing cuase my PS2 broke in the later years of the PS2 i haven't play god2, FF12, havne't finished shadow of the colossus, and i always wanted to play the kingdom heart games

$100 is too expensive for a ps2 imo. I got my second one used for like 30 or 40 and it came with like 4 games a memory card and 1 controllerspliffstar12

I would buy Nintendo hardware used, but I'm paranoid about used electronics from any other company. I buy used retro games all the time though.

Target had them on sale for $99 like a year and a half ago and I got one then.

I still have my fat one :) and i'm still playing games to this day. I mean who doesn't have it?? Its arguably the best console of all time.

My PS2 slim looks so cute next to my huge PS3. I almost want a PS1 again to complete the family. ^.^

Thats because its been long enough people all ready replaced all the broken DRE ps2's with slim ps2's.

*ps2 has been 129.99 since 2006 it could have been 99 dollars back then easily they purposely kept the price at that height so as to make money*

The PS2 Slim I have now was a replacement for my original PS2, which DRE'd. Probably the same situation for most people.

very good choices KH series is a great series i would also suggest if you have time persona 3 and 4 also.

I still have my PS2 and I haven't touched it since I got a PS3. :P

Used to own one, and didn't like it. Really dislike the controller, so that just throws most of the enjoyment out the window.

I was considering buying one though, and then bought an NES instead.

So only the early PS2s had DRE? If so, bodes well for my brand spanking new sexy PS2 slim. ^.^

In other news, I just beat the third colossi in Shadow of the Colossus for my first play through. I'm taking my sweet time with this game, because it kicks so much ass and I don't want to beat it too fast. =)

I'm also just past the first "Sending" in FF X.

Because I like to collect the actual games, and the PS2 slim is pretty damn sexy, I must say.
