I honestly think it'll get a AA. But I wouldnt be surprised if it got AAA.

I think I'll go with AA depending on how detracting some of the things mentioned in the IGN review are. A slow start to a game can be hard to overcome. It sounds like HR does a good job of doing that, but it can still be tough if a game doesn't grab you quickly. I was also disappointed that you don't get big changes till the end of the game when doing multiple playthroughs. It's great that you have all these changes/endings to add replayability, but if you're playing 2/3 or 3/4 of the game before you start to really notice effects, I don't know how drawn I am to play through the game again.

None of this means I think the game will do poorly or takes away from my excitement. In fact it's the first game I'm actively considering getting from Amazon with release day delivery.

So the hype went from AA to AAA one week, then AAA to AA in the next?! We need some kind of SW senate to lock down the hype or something. :P Just kidding. I think this game has a chance to get AAA here and can end up being a good game, but most likely the gameplay won't really appeal to the masses. Just as long it's a good experience, I'll give it a try. I still wonder about the replay value.

LOL just as I suspected. All the fanboys of other consoles run in here clicking AAA so when it doesn't meet AAA they can laugh. Such a joke. I always vote for what I actually think the game will be scored by Gamespot reviewers, but I am going to start clicking the AAA option for every poll out there from now on. When in Rome... It works both ways, there were a lot of cows in the AAA hype thread claiming that their opinions changed after the demo. Fanboys also just as easily have a habit of changing their minds the closer it comes to review time out of fear of a flop status which makes these polling threads annoyingly convenient. I say get rid of the polls all together and have a dedicated person (whoever started the hype thread) keep track of who claims an AA-AAA score.

I vote 7.5-8.5; hard to nail down an exact score. Gamespot is can be rather inconsistent with IGN. The score prediction is based upon IGN's revelation of how the game has a few graphical, sound and control issues -- and is only an 8 hour game. Longevity will be an issue, though I suspect it will definitely get the "Great Story" emblem.Stevo_the_gamer

I'm giving it a 9.0 in hype dept. here at GS. Funny how many reviews we are seeing with still two weeks to go. Wonder when GS will review it? Probably the weekend before the release. I can't wait 2 weeks to get this game now as the reviews are making me want to play the game now.

the game looks like AAA quality but only AA appeal if you know what i mean, at least that's how the demo came across to me personally, it looks brilliant, and looks really well made (apart from some voice acting) but it just didn't seem like the kind of game i'd shell out $60 for personally

that said i hope any really-different game does well for the sake of variety even if it's the kind of variety i don't want to buy

Just seems so uninteractive when you consider videogames are supposed to be an extremely interactive entertainment medium.

I found this to be one of the better quotes from the magazine. It is from Gamervision. I agree can with it wholeheartedly.

AAAE for me,but the fanboys that will be all nervous if it doesnt get AAA will be happy since I am %95 certain that GoW3 will get AAAE in March.

Then take it up with the TC of that thread. The bottom line is, that was the 1st hype thread out, it was AAA. Mysteriously the hype gets lowered everythime a new hype thread is generated. If it makes AAA on GS not a flop, but the flop rules seem to pertain to the 360 yet somehow seem to be rewritten for the PS3 games...
