Poll: How much do you think base PS5/XB2 cost? (Not how much you WANT it to)

I have a feeling they might cost $499 US.

In the UK I think it will be £349 or £399 for the larger HD version, basically the same price the pro is now.

About $700 AUD.

£400-450..... I think any more then that and they risk people going for the cheaper console.

Keep the politics out of the gaming side of the site.

I expect the PS5 could cost either $400 or $500. Until we hear about what is supposed to be under the hood, it's difficult to say.

PS4 proved that $400 is the sweet spot these days. Hopefully Sony sees that.

@Telekill: normally I'd agree with you, but if he cut the word "Trump" out of his question you probably wouldn't have batted an eye. I think it's fair/not political to ask whether tariffs are going to affect game hardware prices next gen.

If the price gets too steep I'll just consider upgrading my PC instead.

Probably $400-500 as console peasants are cheap/poor and are not concerned about quality.

I would imagine that they’ll be between $400 - $500 USD. This would probably translate to what I would have to pay here in Canada as being between $500 - $600 CDN. I’m comfortable with that price range myself.

$400 just like the PS4 and Pro were. If it's twice as powerful as the X, I can possibly see it going for $500.(Scary thought for the X!)

$399 since its a sweet spot for worldwide sales. I did a big analysis back in the days why PS3 was about to struggle worldwide and the same analysis why PS4 would had no problem. Since they found the sweet spot why to change that now ? $399 day 1 is quite an affordable price for majority of smaller markets around the world and really affordable to bigger ones. The MAX price i can see PS5 going is $449 no more by any means

PS5 will definitely launch at $399 or close to it.

Next Xbone is the wild card. MS seems to like this new $499 price point even though it hasn’t worked out well for gen this gen.
