I haven't touched Halo 3 online since I got CoD4. You actually get rewarded for ranking up, it doesn't take half a clip to kill someone...I DO miss the vehicular combat though.
Yeah. I was all over Halo 3 when it came out, and I was on it every night for countless hours when I wasn't out getting ****ed up. But then CoD4 came out.....and that **** was over.
Imo, Halo was never great to begin with. It was ok. And people loved it cause it was really the only decent FPS on the original xbox so people bought it. Yeah, I played a lot of FPS on PC so I know what a good FPS required and Halo is only ok like a decent but notvery good or great like everyone says. So the hype carried over to the 360 too. So once another good shooter like cod4 comes along. It was pretty easy for cod4 to beat halo.
The people who think CoD's multiplayer is better are beyond saving. I'm a die hard Halo fan and the fact that Halo's gameplay is so drastically different from CoD's is the same reason that I still like it more. For realistic combat, R6V is way better. I like shooting through walls though.
Wow Im really shocked by the responses to this thread. I love COD4 but I didnt think so many people preferred it over H3.xTHExJUICEx
Oh yeah man, EVERYONE hates Halo compared to CoD. Especially people on this site. Just read the early user reviews for CoD. Half of them bash Halo 3 before you even click the link to the review.
I was really into Halo 3 for awhile, then I quit playing for a few months and got into COD4. The bad thing, IMO, about COD4 is that there isn't skill matching, which means you could be playing against someone with a much higher, or lower, rank. It just seemed like I either did great horrible. So, now I'm back playing Halo 3 and having a blast with friends.
I only have a ps3 but i used to go to my neighbours house all the time just to play H3 on his 360. Now i bought CoD4 for my ps3 and havent spoken to him since:|
I played Halo 3 a lot when it came out but Then I got COD4 and now I hardly play it at all, I just like being able to take on say 4 people and knowing I still have a chance of coming out of it alive.. Unlike in Halo 3 where you run into more than 1 enemy on your own and you know you're going to die.
But I have to say, when your playing with friends Halo 3 is much more fun. I think I miss Halo 3 a little *runs to play Halo 3*

This is true. In Halo, double teaming is the key to success...oh well...
I wasn't exactly a Halo die-hard, but Halo 3's multiplayer pales in comparison to COD4's multiplayer. Now I think that Halo is even more overrated than before.
