POLL: Mario Galaxy. Best game ever made??

Regardless of whatever console you favor, there is no denying that SMG is one of the best games ever created. But, for those who have played the game for a few days now, in your honest opinion, is it truly the best game ever made??

Im saying YES. And I've been gaming since the ColecoVision. Its just amazing in every aspect. Seriously, even if you dont like the Wii for whatever reason, this game is worth buying the console along with the game & then re-selling it all when you're done. Its THAT good.

it might be... ill have to beat it first... but so far its been the best game ive played this gen.

but its looking kinda short? I dont want to spoil it for myself... so i havnt done any reading up on it... but I have 35 some stars and there looks to be only one more solar system to open up on the map? i hope im wrong.

I have to say yes. The smile that this game has brought to me and my wife while playing it is pure joy. The gameplay is the most addicting aspect of it. I simply cant believe my eyes on how well this game plays and captures your imagination. I rank it right up there with the first time that I ever played the original super mario bros on my NES. If anyone ever played that game all the way back in 1985 then you know THAT FEELING. The newer generations simply cannot understand what the original SMB did for us gamers after the videogame crash. Galaxy brings back the memories by going back to the basics of pure,unfiltered, addictive plain and simple fun.poptart28

Let me start of by saying this. I've been playing and enjoying Gears Of War, Crysis and other games in that class and many times went WoW! This is fun.

With Mario Galaxy I went numb, it clearly stated that this game made gaming FUN again. It doesn't had the coolest explosions, the best anti hero, most weapons or whatnot but...let me tell you this...be open minded and enyone will enjoy this. Everything from the music score to the sound of mario walking around and jumping just fits, it's there! I actually had doubts on Mario when it comes to this game, but never again and it told me that yes, you are really going to have to get a Wii to be able to play this game along with SSBB.

Mario Galaxy is quite awesome! Its art design and creativity is unmatched(or nearly so), its musical score is one of the best around(and truelly an incredible leap for the mario games, it's now so epic!), and most importantly it is just pure fun.

I just beat bowser for the 3rd grand star, and man was that incredible! Not only does bowser look and sound amazing, but the entire fight was gorgeous and fun. The music was amazingly epic and bowser felt threatening(due mostly to him looking and sounding more fierce then ever); despite it not actually being terribly hard.. though this made it very rewarding.

It couldn't be for me, mostly because I don't care for platformers very much. Sounds like it's an excellent addition to the genre and perhaps the best platformer ever, but not game in general.
