I have no idea if this is actually true, but I thought awhile ago they were saying that the new chips would come with the price drop? Anyone know for sure?

If you haven't gotten one yet, I'd wait for that new chip. I think that will fix their reliability issue and by then, there should be an even larger and more worthwhile game library. Plus the worthy titles that are out now will be even cheaper. You can't lose. That's my strategy with the Wii and PS3.

I'm getting a PS3 first since it has the most games I want, and that's gonna be my primary console this gen but I want a 360 and Wii eventually. But yeah, I won't buy the 360 until they fix the hardware. By that time the price should be cool too.
it's still to unreliable, maybe if one day they make a statemant about it being fixed. I'm not fixing to buy a broken system no matter what Fanboys say , it's broken. they basically said, it's Broken and we'll fix it anytime it breaks within those 3 years. no thank you. Would you buy an Ipod if it had such a defect, i think not. Ignorance is Bliss for Lemmings(as long as it doesn't happen to me)

The difference in sales won't be drastic... It'll be enough to give the 360 a slight boost when H3 and GTA IV come out... However I think because of all the controversy surounding the 3 red lights, people will be reluctant to pick one up. Hell I know of a handfull myself who won't get one because of that reason alone.

Yes exactly. Unless the 50 dollar price drop comes with the new CPU then I'm not buying one. Fyi I already have one but I'm trying to sell it to get an Elite with the 65nm chip.
Well, it's been confirmed now by a few different ads on websites so now that the price drop has come, will you be buying one? I for one will be.SergeantSnitch
I will get one when they start making consoles that arent defective. The 360 game library is just too good to miss. Hopefully they get it out soon. The cheaper the better.
