POLL: Probably asked a lot, but which PlayStation do you prefer?

which model of the PlayStation think is the best?

I know that all the PS3 games are by no means out yet, but I'm just curious... which do you prefer?

For me: i never owned a PlayStation 1... instead I went for a Saturn, so gamed on the Saturn and SNES in the mid-90s.

I found PlayStation 2 to have really amazing games in the form of Virtua Fighter 4, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest, Gran Turismo, etc... so this is my choice :)

PlayStation 3... I did own one, but I never used the thing... i always gamed on either the PC, 360, or ocassionally the Wii... so i ended up selling it. I found it to the be very disappointing compared to the PS2 (just my opinion)

what about you?

PS2 easily , quality,quantity and all at a fairly cheap price :P aswell as being my dvd player for bout 6 years lol.

haha- I used it as my DVD for a quite a while too... I remember when I bought a new progressive scan DVD player and I thought i was big stuff.. lol.

If we arent counting backwards compatibility then the PS2 for me. Had many great times on the PS1 as well, especially the jrpgs, but PS2 had MGS2, MGS3, FFX, FFXII, DQVIII, Ico, SotC, GT3, GT4, DMC3 and just a whole slew of other great exclusives, plus a **** load of great multiplats.

PS2 is not just the best Playstaion, but the best console of all time. In my opinion of course.

I'm torn between the PS2 and SNES. Both systems had a constant onslaught of great games. I'm inclined to pick the SNES because the games are more re-playable, oddly enough.

ps3 only b/c now I have money I can spend on games. Had I been old enought to work when i had my ps2, I may have been able to play all the games people rave about

3. It's just the one I've played the most of, and have paid attention to what games are available for it. I'm sure the ps3 was a great system, but I didn't partake very much despite owning one.

I voted the PS2, while I can't comment too much on the PS1 since I was rather young and I grew up with the n64... The PS2 did have the biggest amount of great games and a lot of great rpgs. However, both the PSP and PS1 have plenty of great titles too of course.

PS3, I totally ignored consoles for the most part in the PS2 era.

Playstation 1 because it was my first but I love the ps2 also. I remember when I first got the PS1 and I was playing GT2 with by brother,wegot scaredand dropped the controller cause of the dualshock :lol:

For me its the PS3, followed by PS1. I remember the first Fifa game on it that had great graphics and commentary an was a real step up from the super nintendo and megadrive versions and being impressed by Metal Gear Solid, Parasite Eve games. The PS3 is a great console although I never personally owned a PS2, only ever borrowed the nephews one. Sony have had some great games on their consoles down the years and hopefully continue for another load of years to come.
