as far as gears goes...the producers don't tell you what the locusts are...

they dont give you alien guns to fight with

the characters look cartoony.

resistance is better hands down. its better than both halo and gears.

based on gears 1 and resistance 1 , i cant see why anyone would argue.

Gears was the first true next gen game, awesome graphics, awesome gameplay, awesome online.

ResistanceFOM was a game with bad graphics, average bland gameplay and probably the the most bland boring online iv ever played.

Based on that and what i have played of gears 2 already im going to have to say gears 2.

I will be giving resistance 2 a go tho

It doesn't help that Gears 1 was bland-o-rific and R2 looks really good.

Gears hands down! IMO better story, gameplay and multiplayer. Only owned the first Resistance and traded it in after a week.che5ter666

I think I recall MS saying it wasn't going to PC because of all the piracy issues, and not all 360 games end up on PC.

The ones that do well on the 360 always get ported.

im currently playing gears 2 but im getting r2 soon, but judging from the previous games i say gears.

But i voted for resistance since im a sucker for insomniac :P and r2's online is probably better.

and yes this is a PhlopStation 3 fanboys vs XBOX 180 fanboys.

in the graphics division, gears 2 is better. but for me, overall R2 is better, much much improvements from the first. i prefer the story of R2. the gameplay is awesome and those gigantic monsters are really awesome. as a sequel, R2 has a lot to offer.but gears 2 will sell more than R2 because there's more 360 owners than ps3 owners.

So far, I'm seeing 129 PS3 fanboys, and 103 360 fanboys.

LOL, yes it did. The game improved A lot over the first, pretty much in every aspect.

I suggest you play it and NOT go by a persons opinion.

I bought and completed Resistance 2 first and I don't think I'll get back into it for some time after getting Gears of War 2. It's just like getting an upgrade, so it makes it hard to look back. I have a 30 day return policy for Resistance 2 and I just have a strong feeling I'll exchange for Left 4 Dead when that comes out.

Wrong, wrong and wrong. Gears of War 2 was a vast improvement to the first gear.

And according to GS ratings? Did you even read the review that said it was a big improvement?

I really disliked GeoW 2, i suppose i expected to be "wowed" only to have those expectations not fufilled. The single player, however, is such a huge improvement from the frist one (which isnt saying much either). They really made the story much more deep. Long story short for me...

Im gonna say Resistance 2. R2 improves significantly over the first one, while GEOW2, while it does improve in alot of aspects, it definatly dissapointed in alot of criterias. All the things that required skill in GEOW1 had disappeared, like luring Berserkers outside for instance. Brumak battles were underwhelming, you actually dont get up and personal with them like you do in GEOW PC. The Last boss was pathetic, just an infected***Spoilers* brumak that you got to kill,and the fight barely lasts 30 seconds. Generally, game is a step down from GEOW 1 in many ways.

R2 all the way.

actually many fanboys got mad when Geow 2 got a 9.0

And the same fanboys got angrier when R2 scored the same

I think Lems got mad both when Gears2 scored 9.0(they were hoping 9.5 or 10) and got even more pissed when R2 scored a 9.0 .

Most cows(except the most hardcore ones)like me were already predicting that Gears 2 would be either 9 or above , so i think cows were the least pissed off group(except for sheep who get neither :P).

Ive only played Gears Of War 2 so far, and so I wont give an answer.

But so far Gears Of War 2 is pretty damn epic. its Gears Of War but x 10.

Well the reason the Xbox fanboys are mad is because they can no longer brag saying "GEARS OF WAR BEAT ALL SUXOR!!1101011" since Resistance 2 and Gears 2 got the same score, it's like a kick in the pants to them.

It's like this, Gears was their game this gen, just like Halo was their game last gen. It's the thing that makes you want to get their system that one game, and Resistance 2 getting the same score as Gears 2 is like if Killzone scored the same as Halo 2 last generation.

It takes away their right to brag and say we have the better system cause we have better games. Which they don't but they like to think they do, but right now the PS3 has the most variety just as the PS2 did before it, the only thing it's really missing is a excellent JRPG. Which it should of had a long time ago, but hopefully White Knight Story will be a AAAE, and then after that am looking forward to SO4 getting announced on the PS3, add a tad of FFXIII versus and it'll all be good.

UK GS team that review LBP and GEARS 2 is not like the us team that review R2 and most games

if gears 2 and LBP was reviewd by the US team they probbely give them 95+
