Well, I was just playing Warhawk, and I love how easy it is to find games, and how strong the community of the game is. I think it's because of the server lists. With server lists, the power is actually in your hands on what type of game to find. For example, I want to play with some Brits, I hit up a European Server, see how many people I want in the room, check out the different maps/modes. It just gives more comfort than when I go to Call of Duty 4 or Rainbow Six Vegas (horrible matchmaking for RSV) where I just hit up the mode, and go into a random game. Server lists actually give you more power (no surprise). They allow customization to be found more easily, allow you to choose the maps you want to play (like let's say I'm feeling that I want to play some Eucadia in Warhawk). Anyway, I find the idea of Matchmaking to have ruined my online experience. In SOCOM for the PS2, they had the best, and I mean BEST online layout. It was so community oriented, with lobbies such as US East 1,2,3,etc. (my clan ruled US East 10 in SOCOM 2 for all those who played :P) and server lists in them. In US East 10 where my clan would usually play, there were regulars in that server area where we would regularily create rooms in that area and play with eachother. Anyway, I'm gonna stop going on and on, what I'm saying is I think Matchmaking is pathetic because it ruins online experience of community, and how easy it is to find games (at least for me). Why can't devs just step up and create server lists like in Warhawk or SOCOM?
