Pretty much this. I'm in every board but usually just post in PS3 and SW since they have the most threads interessting for me. It's fun to see blind fanboys making dumb claims and it's very imformative since every somewhat relevant News entry is discussed here ^^

Mostly watch the stupidity that arises. Also it allows me to look interested in a lecture through the act of taking vigorous notes, thereby maintaining my participation grade, while actually learning nothing at all. alextherussian

Game news and sad to admit the sides arguing about which system or game is best has entertainment value, some times more so than the actual games they're arguing about.

I actually come here because its been a good source for new information for me lol.

Usually find out about new games and such here before anywhere else.

I actually visit system wars because it's one of the first places that rumors and confirmed news is posted to claim 'ownage'. It's the easiest way to keep up to date with gaming news and see what in the future might interest me. Instead of having to constantly scan blogs and such, the fanboys here do it for me! I do like voicing my opinion in threads. I almost never do so unless I've played/beaten/own the game/system.

I like to prove fanboys wrong, then watch them go into denial then hide behind stupid and false arguments. I only choose a side I am going to win, or start an argument I can win.

So I can see people like you who know nothing about these forums come on and pretend you do and try and be funny at the same time but fail...gamebreakerz__

Mainly to find out daily game news, and about games that I hadn't heard of before like Dead State.

Some of the arguements are funny but I skip most posts due to misplaced sony fanboy arrogance.

Up-to-date gaming news (I could swear they have a staffer here at GS that peruses the boards, since every GS news article is posted in SW or GGD a couple hours prior) and debate/discussion. People think this place is just a trolling fanboy war... but they haven't spent enough time, or enough effort in seeking out the quality discussion.

A lot is due to most news gets posted here, and quickly.

I come here to be used as part of the corporate system. I and my fellow SW members argue with one another defending our favorite system and trying to find weakpoints in others as somehow justfiying our purchase as the right one. All the while hyping up games, consoles, and increasing sales as our fanboyism certainly doesnt stop on the internet and continues into our real lives as we talk to co-workers or friends. This word of mouth marketing is very successful and companies love that they don't have to pay a cent for it. Most people wouldn't know about certain features or games had it not been for this board and many others like it that help to generate interest.

So yes I come to SW to be used by coporations as a means for them to get richer.

I only really come to system wars because the fanboys on here a quick to get info on what awesome new game or thing is coming out with their system of choice. So news and info comes quick to system wars.

I have no real bias to any system I own a 360 and a Wii, and feel no need to get a PS3 as it would be a waste of money for me.

I enjoy see some of the idiotic comments people will use to justify their opinions and I hate that I can get sucked into those idiotic fights, but I cannot help myself

None of the above. I come here for news updates and to discuss gaming within a large community. I do get a kick out of some of the nonsense, but sometimes it just makes me shake my head in disbelief. Such as the non-stop graphics king threads, comparisons between PS3 and 360 versions and how games that score below 9.0 are considered trash. The mentality is simply ludicrous for the most part, but it is System Wars and I have come to expect it after five years of posting here. It just goes with the territory.
