All three companies made claims about there new console in the years, months, weeks leading up to their respective launches. For example, "revolutionize" "Super computer" "multimedia Hub" "graphically superior" "best game library" and so on and so forth. Who do you think was the most honest or closest to meeting those expectations and claims?

Most definitely Nintendo in all honesty. I will never own a Wii, but most of what they said is true right?

Microsoft did make some false claims I think, or it were things they didn't actually planned out.

But Sony was 'lying' the most.

I'll know I'll never have as much fun as the "hip" kids in the Nintendo ads :(

I'm really torn between Microsoft and Nintendo on this one, unless one of them has said something outrageously stupid it's sort of hard to distinguish.

I don't feel Sony is in it for obvious reasons.

Agreed. I do think they made a few false claims in the beginning of it all. I can't really exactly remembered what they said, but I think some were there. But lately they have done an outstanding job.

When I made the poll, I was unsure of my own answer. I went with Nintendo, because I believe M$ has made good on 99% of there promises, but have had to make some false claims in competing with the king of fraud Sony. Nintendo on the other hand has actually downplayed some of the Wii's capabilities and completely avoided getting into the dirt with Sony and M$, which I think is noble and good business!

Since they downplayed the Wii's capabilities, everyone was surprised. Really, it's a great business plan, to get people hyped up about your product but leave out some of the best parts. Then when it comes out they're all like "Whoa, so much better than I expected!" That excitement may very well mean a sale.
