In the latest edition of Compare and Contrast Goldeneye took on Halo 3 for FPS king. 137 votes were cast with the closest results yet. Goldeneye won with 51% of the vote, Halo 3 managed to pick up 43% of the vote. 6% of voters thought that both games were equally as good.

Perfect Dark is way better, and I like Goldeneye 007 too, it brought me to the FPS genre, but Perfect Dark added more and nearly perfected it(for it's time), can't wait for the updated XBLA version this winter!

Anyone who says Goldeneye is better is misguided and blinded by nostalgia. Perfect Dark was better in almost every single way possible. Except maybe GE had better music, which is arguable. But that's it. Perfect Dark is improved in so many ways, it's impossible to count.

Perfect Dark was everything Goldeneye was and more. It was the better game overall.

Perfect Dark is so much better than Goldeneye it's ridiculous. However, Goldeneye was still a great game back in the day.

I'm voting for Goldeneye. Why? Framerate. All too often, Perfect Dark had a framerate under 20. GoldenEye didn't have as much of a problem with that.

EDIT: Nevermind. I'm calling it a tie.

I've never played PD but I know that to me Goldeneye is one of the best games ever

I love them equaly. Those games and Turok were the first FPSs i played on consoles

Wow people on these forums really are nostalgic. Halo 3 and Perfect Dark are much better than Goldeneye. Yet they get outvoted.

Perfect Dark was so much more fun multiplayer. I remember you could create your own character and had more variety of weapons and they had secondary functions
